I'm not sure if this has been brought up because I tend to hit highlights of the thread, But I've noticed in a number of screenshots Nick's hair seems to have varying levels of thickness stream to stream, ven though it's obviously clear he's going bald.

I think when he's not too drunk to remember. He's using hair fibers to artificially make his hair look thicker.

It would explain a great deal, especially about the unpredictable wideness of his part.

ETA: attachment isn't working for me, But it's a cosmetic item that you can buy and like any store, at least in the US. I've had a few male co-workers who have used it and i'm just seeing some similarities between them and the screenshots of Nick's hair.

While I would not entirely discard the possibility I think its just that in the screenshots where his hairline is at its worst he is also more of a greasy mess than usual, a combover can hide your balding scalp only for as long as your hair remains clean and with volume, two things it loses when it turns to clumps of greasy fibers after a two day meth and balldo bender.

Also you know, Nick putting any time into cosmetics would cut into his the time he puts on drinking and thinking of children in tiltillating situations.

Possibly. Worth noting it might just be when he washes his hair vs when he hasn’t. The oil makes hairs clump and darker highlighting visible skin, clean hair hides thinning slightly better.

The more I think about it the more comparisons I see. In Carlito’s Way David Kleinfeld is an attorney for a mob boss. He is an attorney on paper but he is really more of a delivery guy/bagman that gets money to the right people but has no say in anything. His client calls all the shots and speaks over him, he doesn’t respect his advice he just takes orders.

Nick didn’t earn his house/wealth/status he gets it handed to him as a check by his dad to donate to a charity giving him the appearance of being successful.

Much like David he envies his master and covets his life. When David goes berserk and kills his boss he starts thinking he is a kingpin just because he killed one.

Nick has been living in the shadow of his trust fund and for the first time in his life of failing upward he earns a million from YouTube on his own. He starts thinking he is above his parents who just spend the money they didn’t earn. They have always been wealthy but it’s because of his Grandfather not his parents, so Nick actually believes he is now equal to his Grandfather who was able to create generational wealth. Just like David he gets arrogant and addicted to coke then grows increasingly unstable and starts blowing money like a nigger with a winning lottery ticket because “fuck you I earned this”.

They both think they are a much bigger deal than they are and “earned” their place by having to endure the indignity of cowering in someone’s shadow waiting for the next handout. Nick is a fraud and he knows it and now that he is back on the teat he resents it. It could always be worse, you’ll just get the cold shoulder at church and the holidays instead of a cold blade in your chest.

I know I said I would stop giving good advice in this thread, but if Nick wants to actually rebuild his channel, he has to get back to that small-channel mindset. He needs to cater his topics to the audience amd do his homework to put on a good show.

Smaller streams, more interaction, and consistency with less shilling of ways to pay him.

He would need to treat his channel as if he were still in the sub 10k subscriber range. He has the benefits of having his tech sorted.

He won't.

Heis afraid to fail. His ego tells him he needs to pull BIG numbers and guests. It is insulting to him to think he only deserves an audience of 200 or so. This is why he puts off streaming and other projects: it is easier to pretend he is a big time streamer than it is to admit his crown is tarnished.

You just don't know what you're talking about. A trust fund is one of the most common method the wealthy use to insulate their finances both from disclosure and (in many cases) from taxation. There's nothing inherently shameful about it, and plenty of people, usually wealthy, have them. It's one of the single most common estate planning tools in existence, and Nick's family in particular, we know from his grandfather's will, has used it extensively.
