To be fair, any highly stressful public even where he will be hopped up on stimulants has a high likelihood of causing him to have a stroke or heart failure

Good quality literature stands on its own, and if you're surrounded by yes-men you might find it important to seek out criticizing voices that draw your attention to issues that need to be dealt with before they spiral out of control. That guy might have been vital to keeping the USSR from imploding under his watch. It's when you silence your critics when things go to hell in a wicker hand basket.

How did that decision by Stalin fared, in comparison to what Mao did, namely the attempts to erase old Chinese traditions with the Cultural Revolution? Did Mao also have a select few sets of literature that he personally chose to spare, or no? Also, didn't Mao also silence his critics too, and Pol Pot did a similar thing by purging journalists?

Mao did his best to erase traditional Chinese culture all the while quoting from the classics of it in his private discussions. Pol Pot attempted to erase Buddhism and Khmer culture all while seated like a Theravada monk with an ornamental fan during his long lectures on his bloody interpretations of Marxist theory.

These men were monsters, but they didn't get to the top of the pile without a good deal of brains, drive, education and deeply complex and contradictory motives.

Oh, and profound personality disorders. Crack a biography of any modern dictator and you'll find someone with wide ranging and surprising interests, intelligence, and giant holes in their souls that allows them do what most people cannot without getting severe PTSD.

It is almost like a pedo lunatic who let an army of our enemies in the country and torched the economy was some kind of galvanizing force for the enemies of communism!

I hope the DNC realizes that there are crowds like this in every city in every town and in every county and they can be armed before they try to rig 2024.

har har but that's not what i meant. 100k is super bowl tier crowds. Its just a shade less than the # troops that landed at Normandy on D-Day. for just a campaign stop in a state no one really expects trump to win. its wild.

they expected 40k but 100k is just crazy.
