Why even have the site up anymore when you can just use the waybackmachine/archive dot org? It's pretty expansive and it's practically how i've been browsing it ever since the up-time of the actual site has been a constant coin flip.

Because at any moment those sites can flip the fucking switch and deindex/delete literal years of internet history, because it has "hate speech". Just like the internet archive did to the kiwifarms.
There need to be multiple archives and a constant vigilant uptime for a master copy, otherwise; like all those dead torrents littering the pirate bay, it will all disappear.

I have always openly stated that anyone who tried to monetize ED has serious mental issues, and the track record of Sherrod, Zaiger, and Aediot should speak to it.
