I used to make YouTube Poops until I moved out of my parents' house. I stopped for unrelated reasons.

I temporarily tried joining the YouChew community forum, but the community there was exceptionally exceptional. They were really snooty and elitist about things like what editing software to use, and kept acting like the typical meme sources like Zelda CD-i and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog had somehow become less funny with time and frequency of use (a position I dissented from).

I kept making YouTube Poops for a couple years based on what amused me. I never became good at it and couldn't find ways to download the clips I really wanted without them massively desyncing in audio.

What's annoying me lately is so many YouTube Poopers I watch for their edited together nostalgia trip meme fests tossing their ugly faces and annoying voices in vlog format and it's like I don't care about that junk, ugh, I'm here for the spaghetti toast dinner pingas! If they'd just use significantly different types of thumbnails for these vids it wouldn't even bother me, just like with other YouTubers I watch who upload more than one type of video and I"m not a fan of all those content types.

Honestly forgive me for powerleveling, but I think I can help provide a bit of context. I think it's time people should know this, it would make me feel better.

I actually knew her in 2013-2014 over Skype and while we were pretty close at first, it went pretty sour and honestly I feel as if any of the cringy stuff she may have done was under my influence (In other words it's mostly my fault), and I apologize deeply. I was pretty cringy too at that age, and combined with a strained online relationship, it left a nasty mark. She was really nice and I was a complete idiot to mess up our friendship like that.

I watched a lot of YTPs back in high school and I knew about the forums but I didn't really pay attention to them. Reading through this thread has been quite a trip.

The sperginess I expected because there was always drama and backbiting in that community and it'd spill over into youtube comments. But the SJW/tranny stuff on the forums really surprisedme because YTPs always used to have a lot of deliberately offensive humor (hell I think it probably still does) and I'd thought they'd be a lot more relaxed about this shit.

I've always found Stu Reilly to be pretty pathetic. Even discounting the obsession with such a shitty furry webcomic, I found it pretty weird that he chose to build a personality around Youtube Poop of all things.

Hell I remember he had an interview with BenderPictures about people are taking Youtube Poop way too seriously like if it was an artform and talked about how overinvolvement in the "community" ruined his life because he had no job and was trying to turn things around. So much for that I guess.

Also surprised that he's only 25 because from the way he spoke back when I used to watch YTPs I was convinced that he'd be a 30+ manchild pushing 40 now. I don't know that makes his elitist attitude more or less pathetic.

It's only par for the course when the grand majority of their userbase are on their mid-20s/nearing 30 years old. All of the drama incidents were either started or directly instigated by the ever-dysfunctional staff. I believe admin/mods even had their own subforum for talking shit about users they didn't like for whatever petty reasons. That's how untrustworthy and malicious they are.

That was one of the big reasons why I backed out of the YouChew community about less than half a year of being involved (albeit as an outlier): people took the damn shit (no pun intended) way too seriously and trying to police people on what was supposedly funny or not was obnoxious as fuck. I'm like, "Whatever, I still find CDI, Frollo, Mama Luigi, Dr. Robotnik, and WalrusGuy videos funny, fuck off."

I kinda feel bad for the guy with him realizing the toxicity ruined his life and kudos to him for getting out while he still can... but on the other hand, he's a dumbass for getting involved with it in the first place.
