I really think this feels like an honest photo of an unremarkable birth

Should'nt she WANT an unremarkable birth? I feel like the wellness/birth/doula industry is setting women up for disappointment if they don't feel like it was a sunshiny rainbow orgasmic empowering experience.

But did she cum?
We would all know if she did, in graphic detail. Waves, sustained power, aura, etc.

Not one mention of the baby in question's name in that screed? You know, the person this supposed to be about? Just self-congrations? Never change, Robyn.

In about 18 months, I expect much language about her manifesting a girl.

Eta: intent

An unremarkable birth is EXACTLY what she should want; especially Robyn, who has already had a painful and extended birth with disastrous consequences. Unfortunately for her offspring, she seems to prioritize a healthy child significantly below getting to humblebrag about being a better-than-you MamaTM on instagram.

Baby Okayden looks blue in his baby goo stew picture. He also looks less cheesy than he should, on his extremities and his head. Does the vernix degrade if the pregnancy goes on too long like the placenta? I would have assumed Robyn would leave the vernix on until she could do something woo with it, lick it off like a mother cat maybe.

How blue he looks was probably the first thing I noticed, then the gross water.

I will admit I don't have kids and will most likely never give birth, so I don't know much about how a baby is supposed to look immediately after birth but are they supposed to be that blue?

Btw, hi Robyn, obvious you've been here recently considering you trying to convince people that Oak's birth was exactly what you wanted. No ones buying it, but great effort anyway.

Some babies can be that blue when they come out without having issues. Their circulation is shit and their whole system just got a huge shock and now has to figure out how to work on the outside. He didn't seem discolored in the announcement pics so I wouldn't read too much into that tbh.

I fully expect this to age badly now that I've said it.

Yuck. But TIL what that nasty cheesey stuff on babies is called. And in pre/post term yes it disappears apparently

Hope this doesn't count as 'powerleveling', but having had a water birth, it all looks perfectly fine and normal. Newborn babies come in all shades, even the most straight-forward birth is a trauma for a baby - being discoloured is completely normal. He also looks to have a decent coating of vernix on his back and bottom, though again, there's a wide range of 'normal'.

It's almost like people are looking for problems now, just so they can have an "ahah, told you she'd fuck this one up" moment, but it looks like this one might have actually gone as hoped, which will hopefully mean she stops chasing the dream birth now and concentrates on the two gorgeous boys she has (and the potato)

I'm not sure tbh, as I don't believe it's about Luna. It's about Robyn and what she gets out of it. She's been chasing a perfect birth, and maybe now she's had it?
Yeah, rainbows everywhere
She's a narc; a sentient girl child she can mould in her own image is what she's truly after. Luna works for her because she will never grow up or question her mum's batshit insane ideas, but a real living mini-me clone would top that, at least until it got old enough to do all the shit spuddo never will, like develop a personality or call her out on her bullshit.

Hopefully she ages out of successful pregnancies before she can try again :optimistic:

Of all the damn names she could have chosen....

I'm pretty sure Twiggy will be fine, and as a bonus Atlas now has a sentient peer to look forward to growing up with. Not sure if she intends to take him to school, but if not, that hopefully will have him feeling less isolated. I feel pretty sorry for only children (which up to now Atlas effectively was, with the additional burden of being forced to behold the ghoulish spud-prop); as engaging as some parents are, there's only so much they can do to fill in for another playmate. And let's be honest, Globyn don't seem particularly engaged.
