TL;DR the Telegram overlords say that it's because PAX (name unknown) migrated the domain on to a DNS proxy that does not allow porn and/or gore, and as a result, they seized it. There's some l33t hacker way you can still access it through editing a hosts file on your computer, but your mileage may vary.

Neither make sense. Hosting companies don't seize websites. That's like, something the FBI does for criminal websites. The hosting company would've just shut off service. And I wouldn't wouldn't trust a word that GOI says.
Uncyclopedia is better. I have never laughed at an ED article and I have no clue who finds that humor format funny.
Some of us actually tried. I wrote some pretty good satire articles for ED that were actually meant to be funny AND actually educational on the subject. Unfortunately, articles like mine were just a drop of beer in a bucket of wet dog shit.
They let too many faggy cunts write whatever they wanted, so for one good article, we got dozens of shitty articles that weren't funny every week.
The whole point of ED was to rip on popular figures as lolcows purely because it was funny. It's supposed to be 90% brutal truth about someone with 10% gut busting hilarity sprinkled throughout to keep it from being boring. When it goes off that track, nobody wants or cares if the site comes back up or not. Maybe if it does come up again they should have some better quality control.
I'd be happy to contribute again, assuming the site manages to get a good lightning strike to revive its undead corpse, but what's the point? It's just going to go down again for some stupid fucking reason, and I will probably have to repost all of my backed up articles again, plus all of the god damned images.
We need a wiki we can write about lolcows on that isn't run by chimps fighting over the same dildo. And no, I don't mean fucking Uncyclopedia. Don't get me wrong, they are a solid C-. But they don't have the same edge that ED does. It's like a rehab clinic for satire addicts - just barely funny enough to keep you from swallowing a bullet, but never more than that. It's almost like they're trying to wean you off of the hard stuff. It's just not the same as that smooth ED black tar heroin.
I am extra salty because I just recently got back into ED and was about to start writing again before the site shut down. So now I have satirical blue balls. FFS just pick an admin that isn't a fucking bum. How is that so hard??
