General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

It appears that Kronii is establishing new boundaries with her audience regarding the sexualization of her model. There was a clip where she went off on a person who made an "booba" comment in a Superchat.
She should've voiced her concerns when she knew Wada Arco was designing her model. I mean sure, she did get more conservative alternate outfits, but some foresight would have helped her out here.

it probably helped her out more than she knows, people like booba. holojp leans into that, and in the west you're not even allowed to even like it - in comes a clock where you want to poke her sideboob.
and let's face it, r34 is a rule for a reason. people would've inevitably made spicy comments, booba or not, so might as well use it.

Also the 2019 face pic that led to a forum semi-implosion, where she was pretty round, but by no means obese.
Based on her convos with Mari about diet + exercise + disordered eating I'm willing to believe she's not obese anymore, but if you think she's not obese in that photo you're coping hard.

It wasn't a superchat, but it was during a superchat reading, a random gray popped up in chat while she was just having a normal conversation/tangent commenting "holy booba" and she roasted them and called them a pre-pubescent boy for making the comment out of no where. Saying she in general doesn't mind the comments in their time and place. (the clipper in this case somewhat clickbaited it as though she was much more angry/upset than she actually was)

/vt/ has been trying to make it a bigger deal than it was and it might be bleeding together with another clip from the same stream where she did "establish boundries" by telling people that she thought the Subway jokes were dumb and overdone and that she'd like if her regular viewers would stop harping on the dead meme as it's been well over a year now.

The two clips in question for reference.

Considering the voice actress, a few membership streams that were going along, and the tweets about them being more assertive from now on.
I wager that the non-binary Korean woman was problem never too keen on having the most fan service like model.

I truly believe that council was literally on the verge of collapsing for a couple of years before they finally rebounded with everything some of the members have said

This is a problem with all of hololive in general where the western fanbase just boils each talent down to a handful of memes. Memes are basically never funny unless you're clever. I see these kinds of people the same as all the spergs in the 2000s who had no concept of humor and would just spout random nonsense"haha cake is a lie, firin my laz0r".

I was more talking in general since she was never really comfy with the gooners, but largely put up with it because that's the culture.

Now, she doesn't care about "playing nice" and is going to be more assertive

She claimed she was NB in a since-privated video on her original channel. Who knows what she identifies as now...
Her old Q/A video? she said she preferred to be treated as "gender neutral" online. That was about the extent of it, as far as anyone's ever found actual evidence of nothing has ever suggested she doesn't/hasn't identified as a woman and in her PL as well when she would be asked her gender she would answer things along the line of "that should be obvious"

I feel like every year or so the topic comes up and at most people seem to reach the conclusion of "she seemed to give some half hearted non answers that left it open to interpretation or just seems to dodge the subject altogether"
She responded to that in this Q&A (timestamped to the question):

She says she prefers to just be "gender-neutral" in the internet but it's pretty evident that it's just a good dodge of the question and seems like she prefers not to dip her toe in that pronoun shit-show.

Now, she doesn't care about "playing nice" and is going to be more assertive
I think stressing about stuff in the last week like getting the run around on song releases and prepping for travel to Europe (she's going to Poland this week I believe?) just also had her in a mood to not have much patience for chat's usual nonsense.

Bold of you to assume it's just a western fanbase issue. JP members get stuck with their overused jokes and memes as well just it's not often you probably recognize it happening because it's well... in Japanese. Some of them like the whole Fubuki Cat thing where she had to tell her fans to lay off with the jokes as well managed to get noticed by western viewers but were pretty firmly rooted in JP bros beating a joke to death in the exact same way. If you watch JP members enough you start to realize a lot of them have those same running gags some the streamer will lean into some they won't.

Is it already that time of the year again? We're back to Kronii doomposting?
I wouldn't be surprised if this some false flag operation from the NDF. There is way to much buzz around this "incident". It's nothing new that she isn't very fond of her big boobed model.
Btw dottovu still uses they as pronouns on the website.

A new Hololive project holoWitches is going full maho shoujo with anime, manga, streams around the setting. There are also some known VA involved: Rie Takahashi, Aoi Yuki, Kaede Hondo, Mirika Kawa

I remember her puzzle building memberships stream like a year and a half ago where she was tired of the sandwich jokes.

She identifies as my wife, sorry bros
