I always find it interesting that people hold up Nero and Caligula as evidence of Rome's decadence, considering Nero, the latter of the two, is about half a century earlier than Trajan and the maximum territorial extent of the Empire, not to mention the other good emperors and Marcus Aurelius that all the Stoics love to jizz over. Nero was Early Empire, Rome was at the height of its power during the time of Nero and Caligula, a Collosus of the Ancient World. It wouldn't start to decay for centuries after that. It was the Late Empire, when the Praetorian Guard were swapping out Emperors every few months that the disease and decadence set in.

What I don't understand about trans surgeries is how so many of them seems to be sickening, because even the procedures are fucking horrific. MtF's are just given a giant gaping hole that has to be dilated because the body (correctly) recognizes it as a wound and is attempting to heal it. Why would you subjugate yourself to that sort of procedure willingly? Even if you legitimately think you were born in the wrong body, you'd think more people would opt out of shit like this, yet getting top/bottom surgery is unanimously glorified in these communities. FtM's are fucking crazy too, they need to strip entire parts of your forearm to create something that barely resembles a penis. I don't think I've ever heard of a trans-surgery regarding genitals ever being a positive.

I think the bottom line is that they have no idea what they're getting into. It's basically verboten to mention all of the horrific side effects and they wll literally call you transphobic and cite studies that claim "trans surgery has the lowest regret rate" if you do. When you throw in all the narcissism, autism, and grooming in the trans community, it creates this perfect storm that has become very lucrative for a number of industries, which adds another layer of difficulty. It's a mess.
