A lot of threads are getting raided by throwaway accounts spamming copy pasted messages that either fill up the 1000 post limit per thread or irritate people so they just leave.
People on those forums call it stuff like "script attacks" or "script spamming." The counter measures are equally retarded in places like 5chan introducing a Donguri (acorn) system to log users' post frequency or some shit, which doesn't seem like a great feature for forums popular for the ability to post without an account.

I think it's different breed of spammer on each site.
In 5chan, after the retarded move by yamashita of the talk and drama surrounding around it, nearly all the thread was fucked due ro spammers.
In futaba, thread with certain words in title was fucked (some of it include but not limited to "bunny garden" "futaba festival" "square enix")
The same thing is Owner is retarded(5ch introduced donguri system which malfunctioned atrociously and futaba did nothing as always) and residents there is tad paranoid about attacker(5chnner thinks it was done by yamashita&co with bit of evidence and futaba as always try to connect it to some imaginary big gayop trolling group)
The thing is Japanese imageboard is plagued by "matome sites" which steals theads and turns them into shitty article often shifting the nallartive and put shit ton of ads on it for money
