The new Assassin's Creed trailer was released and everyone is talking about Yasuke, a black samurai. Debate abounds on whether he was a samurai or not. People note a similar character was in Nioh.
Nobody is talking about how Ubisoft wants $140 for the entire game. First

As someone who made the mistake of taking some liberal "social science" courses in university, I did learn one interesting fact: the modern ideas of race were largely codified in the late 18th century by this man:
Carl Linnaeus. Before that, when European explorers made contact with Japanese or other East Asians in the 1500s, they described them as being "white" or "white people" solely because of their light skin (there's a book called
"Becoming Yellow" discussing this). In fact, I believe ancient Japanese texts said that Japanese people should have skin"white as snow" (you will
never this discussed by racist liberals who push "critical race theory"). And you can see what colour the Japs use to
depict their skin in older paintings. The idea of them being Yellow/Mongoloids/Orientals came later.
Bonus points: during the early days of European exploration in the Philippines, some Spanish missionaries dubbed an ethnic group native to Southeast Asia as the
Negritos, which literally means "Little Black People" due to their dark skin and kinky hair. In modern day, Negritos are largely forgotten or "marginalized".
If you want to look at it one way: Yasuke was a nigger working for Japanese men who, due to their light skin, might've been historically considered "white" during that time. And this kind of irony in the worship this dude gets from a historic standpoint will not be funny.
Speaking of which, only Westerners seem to be obsessed with this dude. I don't think Japan gives a fuck and so much other Eastern/Asiatic countries do not care about the Africans who visited their lands. There was an
Ethiopian slave who ended up in a 16th century Indian kingdom (sultanate) and became a leader in that Indian kingdom. You will
never see Pajeets kissing the dude's ass. I'm somewhat shocked that (((American media))) hasn't gotten a hold of that Ethiopian dude and wanked his "historical significance" to hell and back. But (((American media))) seems to prefer Japs over Pajeets and adjacent countries.
