If someone with a big platform that was generally not associated with Kiwifarms did an exposé on Dong Gone's consent accident and ties to Keffals, that's all it would take to get him canceled. He isn't untouchable and he hasn't done a good job of covering up his mistakes.
If someone loud enough decided to scrutinize him he'd crumble. He has no good qualities and can't hide behind any of his achievements. The only thing he's achieved is riding off the coattails of others.
I have mixed feelings about this. Having someone of note talk about it is better than nobody of note talking about it, attention brought to the subject is obviously better even if people cross their arms and refuse to acknowledge what is being said. But when you look at reactions to Mutahar/SomeOrdinaryGamers Keffals exposé, you see how firmly entrenched in team warfare some people are, to the point they will attack thumbnail artists and the wife of the video creator rather than engaging with the subject itself and the many valid criticisms brought up in it. This is despite Keffals being thoroughly disowned by every side at this point, his misbehaviors widely regarded as fact rather than conjecture. It's also valid to argue that the majority of the Internet are silent observers, people who read and watch things without subsequently posting about it or discussing them in public and their minds can be swayed by such things, even if we can't observe this. It can also be argued that SomeOrdinaryGamers isn't some prominent voice and what is needed is mainstream publications to cover it, but at the same time a 3.7m YouTuber who can get almost 900k views in 5 days has numbers that the "mainstream" would kill for.
What I'm trying to say is that I don't know how successful such things can be and the backlash from exposing someone as universally disliked as Keffals might be argued to have not swayed any minds, where there were repercussions for the people involved in making that exposé. I'd certainly like someone to give more attention to Liz Fong Jones and the things he gets up to, but if it had an arguable impact on Keffals then how much impact can it really have on Dong Gone, who has powerful connections and works largely from the shadows? People should be brave, they should try to give Elliot the attention he deserves but the people with the largest impact and reach in this generation are afraid to misgender or say the fuck word on their platforms, not by choice but because the platforms are pro-censorship on an automated level even before human intervention, which mostly sides with those who wish to do the censoring - I don't know if they'd be willing or able to take the risk and, even if they did, how much impact it would have. Also, maybe I am wrong in my pessimism (and I hope I am) and the fact that a 3.7m YouTuber can and will talk about these kinds of things is a sign that the pendulum is swinging back the other way which can lead to more of these people being exposed for who they are.
Erm, eh... I mean Sneed.
Also Null if you're looking for more bardcore to play on stream can I suggest this?
