It was metaphorical, allegorical, an autobiography, an allusion to a grander concept. And it was written as appropriately disturbing.

In my view, there's a difference between exploring the horror that goes on behind a child's mind as he or she gets traumatized in real-time and some creepy fantasy where the child is consenting and enjoying it and it's no different than some shitty erotica.

I feel sick typing it out but I think it needs to be said how fucked up the latter is and how "muh trauma" is a bullshit fucking excuse for sexualizing child abuse.

The Ayuwoki! It was a wax sculpture of Michael Jackson that was all fucked up and became that urban legend. Someone made a video game about it called Escape The Ayuwoki. The full version has a pretty interesting story, but I've only seen one playthrough that touched on it. I don't think the game got very popular.
