I can't wait for the "So what, it was always a longshot" cope argument he'll make tomorrow or Wednesday when he's finally sober enough to stream before he continues to drink himself into oboblivion.
Incredibly optimistic on your part to think he'll be streaming successively or will mention it. He'll get a super chat and act surprised like he just heard about it, that's the most you'll get outta him.

You know, if Rackets hadn't become such a belligerent, wet brained retard in the last couple of years I might have felt sorry for him. But he dug this hole when he wouldn't shut up about Montegraph's alleged love of little baby dicks, so heavy emphasis on the MIGHT
His falloff should be used as a prime example of why fame and alcoholism/any kind of addiction do not fucking mix

Holy shit!

This is the worst possible outcome for Nick! I thought near the end Randazza would pull it off. It seemed based on oral arguments the court was leaning in that direction, and I was prepping myself for Nick to be a smug son a bitch. But I guess not.

Well, alrighty then. He ain't gonna be happy about this. Not with all the money he spent. :story:
Don't worry, he'll cope by watching black men fuck his wife some more while drinking terrible whiskey.

His falloff should be used as a prime example of why fame and alcoholism/any kind of addiction do not fucking mix
I think his fall is a classic example of somebody who gets flung into fame and success out of circumstance and the help of others, and who clearly didn't know how to deal with it on his own.

It's featured.

I don't understand how this guy still has fans who are willing to pay him.

The audience is mostly hatewatchers and trolls now. The chats are dominated by trolls and they have enough power now that they can kind of direct what Nick talks about on the shows. He has maybe a handful of true believers left. His locals is effectively dead.

he hasn't actually lost the case, right?
this was just some legal shit about which law should be applied. the actual trial is still to come, right? losing here just means he will be tried according to the less favorable minnesota law rather than the more favorable colorado law.
Nick wanted the case dismissed.

The case now goes to discovery. Nick, after referring to discovery as the most expensive part of the case, now has convinced himself that there will be minimal to no discovery.

This is almost certainly not the case. At the very least, Rekieta himself can be expected to be deposed. Along with Monty. It would be odd to have discovery and NOT want to depose the opposing party.

This could be fun because although I'm not sure, I believe that either party can decide to make a deposition public, though this probably depends on jurisdiction and the content of the deposition. I haven't looked up whether this is allowed in Minnesota, but Rekieta himself covered a bunch of the depositions in the Vic case, and I've seen a lot of other depositions in other cases being made public.

After discovery, then it goes on to trial. The district judge in her opinion basically said that the defamation case is already strong enough to proceed to trial, and it's only the IIED claims which are likely to fail at the summary judgment stage after discovery.

So now the case proceeds and nick is 50k poorer. That's a lot of Whiskey money wasted man.
50k? Rekieta was tens of thousands of dollars into the lawsuit within months of it being filed. I would be shocked if he is less than six figures into it now.
