Throwing my hat into the "gunshot sound" discussion:
People shouldn't really do that. Because no matter what it makes them look retarded.

It's like people don't understand what AGC or audio compression is. They never seem to stop and wonder why often times when they see a cellphone video from the range the spoken words seem louder then the gun shots. Or why we can clearly hear what this streamer is saying next to the loud passing traffic. We don't have any idea what the sound is being recorded with. We don't know if its a higher end phone or camera with dual mic's for noise cancellation.

If we didn't already see it was a .22 in his hand then this thread would be filled with internet gun spergs IDing the sound from everything from a pellet gun to a 30.06.

IP2 is fucking back baby
I duno :shit-eating:

Sorry, I know this is off topic but whatever happened to Goocheese? I don't keep up much with this thread and I miss seeing videos of her getting into fights with crackheads and being forcibly removed from establishments while screaming bloody murder, it just seems like she disappeared one day.
She lives with another failed older streamer, AK. His family has good money, apparently. She says she's cleaned up and living her best life now outside of streaming. Who knows, but she's gone from streaming.

It's weird that both Alice and Goo disappeared around the same time and have a similar story why they left.

Reminder for KFers: if you're going to pull a gun, shoot immediately. Scummy prosecutors will use the fact that you pulled and pointed for a while to try to establish that you were not in fear of your life. Remember that guy thar shot the dumbass streamer in a mall food court? He got off because he immediately pulled and fired so the defense was able to argue that he was fearing imminent bodily harm.
This was my dad's advice - you don't pull a gun unless you are going to fire it. It's not for show, it's not for intimidation, it's a life or death situation weapon.

Nah, you wouldn't be in trouble fo failing to render aid. That only happens when you're a medical practitioner.

Giving someone CPR or a bandaid til real help arrives is always welcomed by emts
Haven’t there been incidents where some bystander tried to give CPR to someone in distress, cracked a rib or whatever, and gotten sued? Also I know there have been times an assailant has sued someone for medical expenses in response to self defense. Frankly I just wouldn’t bother rendering aid to anyone unless it is a loved one because of the likelihood of a lawsuit in our litigious society.

No, every state has Good Samaritan laws now

Those articles exaggerate the filing, but never mention when the suit gets tossed at the first hearing.

I have a friend with a homeless family member. He is homeless *despite* years of attempts at intervention. Most homeless are that way because they either want to be, or have to be. No one wants to house a schizo drug addict and have all their shit pawned.
The problem with the chronically homeless is they're often severely mentally ill and/or on drugs they shouldn't be on and/or not on drugs they should be on. You can put them into an apartment and they'll have trashed the place or caused so many problems they get thrown out. Occasionally they flip out so hard they get arrested and again, maybe get drugged up enough to act semi-normal long enough to get out on the streets and discontinue treatment again.

There are also people who are short-term homeless because they just hit a rough patch, but they're also usually motivated enough by homelessness to get their shit together. These aren't the people you see mumbling crazy shit on the streets though. A lot of those don't even look homeless because they know they have to look normal to get a job or whatever they need to do to get back on their feet.

A lot of states have good samaritan statutes to shut down lawsuits like that because it's idiotic to discourage people from trying to help. Also, very often, CPR done CORRECTLY cracks ribs. It's not a gentle procedure.

If I remember correctly, she ended up on the news or an article that thought she was actually a man and cried about it and maybe seeing herself like that gave her a moment of clarity because pretty much right after, she said she didn't wanna do irl streaming anymore and hasn't really been heard from since.

Wasn't this on Kino Casino a week or so ago? The funniest part after he pops the guy he asks if he was hit so he could render aid.
:story:
"Your Honor, I was so afraid for my life that I decided to approach him and put myself within stabbing distance."
Would you kindly volunteer to standing in front of a .22 for me? Pretty please? With sugar on top?
Would I want to be shot with a .22 LR? No, of course not. Would I carry a .22 LR handgun for personal defense over a better option like a 9mm or a .380 ACP? Also no.

.22 LR is pretty anemic by modern standards, and rimfire cartridges are inherently less reliable than centerfire cartridges.
