He will take some votes from Trump, but for every 1, he's taking 5 from Biden. A lot of my under 40 leftist friends that were into Bernie and Yang are pulling hard for RFK. Their alternative is not voting.
did rfk even make it on the various ballots on time?

This image of the crash site sort of makes it look like they smacked nose first into the ridge and the tail did an end-over and landed up upside down and ahead of the fuselage. Very indicative of controlled flight into terrain.

But yes, I could do with less oddly specific denials in my life.
I am kinda half-convinced that they made that statement as an attempt to sound tough and say "we might have done it!" in some abortive attempt to look like tough guys.

My theory is that he's there to be a spoiler so Trump will "narrowly" win the election in November but with Democrat majorities in the House and Senate, and then they can finally pull the plug on this fake economy, rig the midterms like crazy in 2026, and then impeach Trump and his VP and get Hakeem Jefferies to run the shitshow until they coronate Newsom/Michael Obama/etc. for 2028.
The problem with that is that if they really think that it'll work then they are vastly underestimating the damage the imploding economy will cause. So they'll get beheaded and it's still a win

You know, I only just realized that the actually smart and good politicians may not actually have been pushed out, but have deliberately chosen to stay out of the spotlight so that when shit hits the fan they can avoid the worst of it and take over when the dust settles.

Possibly also man the guillotines, as that would be cathartic.

What are the chances after the kangaroo court goes nowhere and Trump's numbers keep rising they just straight up ice him?
They control the news, they could lie about what happened, and any uprising could easily be taken out with feds or (if things get too rowdy) drones.
I really don't see what the Dems have to lose. They control the optics and keys to the kingdom.
And no I am not fedposting, I am genuinely wondering. I know they want to demoralize the MAGA crowd, but it would be much easier to egg the MAGA crowd on to the point to where they can be labeled a terrorist threat and dealt with.
"Imagine trying to drone strike the population" if the news can lie hard enough, the population will accept it.
Definitely a possibility. I think icing Trump might be cheaper at this point than “fortifying” another election. I honestly hope they’re stupid enough to try it. It’ll fan the flames of anger for an already discontent people.

The Trumpers would’ve calmed down and stepped back into line if they were just given their eight years of a lame duck Trump presidency. Turn Trump into a martyr, and the MAGA movement has a real chance to blossom into a revolution. He’s probably more valuable dead anyway, so he doesn’t have a chance to go full retard.

Another reason I question any notion that Democrats are trying to replace Biden unless the dude literally dies, and maybe not even then. Who would sign up for this trash fire? I doubt there's a candidate in the field as it stands who could unite the herd of competing interest groups that make up the Democrat base at the moment, but if such a grand unifier existed, there aren't enough book deals, cushy lobbyist gigs, and other graft in the world to promise them to get them to throw their hat in now, instead of waiting until 2028. Running after the party forced their base to have no real primary only to cut the anointed candidate is a jobber gig, and it would almost certainly mean the end of whatever sap undertook that challenge's political career.

There may not be a grand unifier, but I could see the parties dissolving as the replacement talent form their own or avoid them altogether. Maybe 2028 will be the year that third parties and independents control the house, senate, and white house? Maybe state specific parties?

Prosecutors say 3 Hunter Biden exes to testify about his addiction at gun trial (archive)
Special counsel David Weiss plans to present extremely personal testimony about Hunter Biden’s drug addiction from three of his former romantic partners, according to a new filing in the felony gun case against the president’s son.

In a filing Monday evening, prosecutors laid out their case against Hunter Biden, which is scheduled to go to trial on June 3 in Delaware. Prosecutors described some of their key witnesses and what they plan to say on the stand, and they also released text messages and photos that they plan to show to the jury.

Speaking strictly in the context of the fantasy world where an intra-Democrat civil war kicks off, I think it's more likely being closely associated with the current leadership becomes a black mark and the base either coalesces around new leaders or an alternative party effectively replaces the Democrats. We don't have an electoral system that allows multiple smaller parties to survive long, at best the brief flirtation with a multiparty system you're describing expresses itself in the 2026 midterms and then the broadly left third of the electorate unites behind whoever did the best out of those factions.

They used to say that back before RFK Jr. pivoted his campaign to the far-left and picked some Democrat megadonor as his VP.

Which is really weird, since he seemed like he was the closest thing to sane in the modern Democrat Party. And yet he's still pro-Israel, which means he's not getting the obvious far-left votes. I have no idea what RFK Jr. is actually doing at this point. My theory is that he's there to be a spoiler so Trump will "narrowly" win the election in November but with Democrat majorities in the House and Senate, and then they can finally pull the plug on this fake economy, rig the midterms like crazy in 2026, and then impeach Trump and his VP and get Hakeem Jefferies to run the shitshow until they coronate Newsom/Michael Obama/etc. for 2028.
Republican boomers hate the Kennedys more than anybody why does anybody think that the Kennedys are this big draw for your republican boomers they hate them because they cheated Nixon out of the 1960 election they still remember that **** I was hanging out with one of my boomer friends anyone stop going on about how much he hates John Fitzgerald Kennedy junior and how he should die in a hole

seriously democratic boomers love the Kennedys it's like crack for them it's old white ladies we're going to vote for this guy we're going to vote Democrat anyways

also people hate Obama another Obama run would be a disaster people don't realize towards the end of Obama's second term he was probably the least popular president no one likes the guy

As far as the uniparty is concerned, the Kennedy dynasty ended with Ted. There are still some straggler family members of course but they get treated like any other white usurper. The message was pretty clear when they picked Ed Markey over Joe Kennedy III in 2020; not only did they pick Markey, they treated Joe III like an enemy, which would’ve been inconceivable for a Kennedy in Massachusetts politics even just a generation ago. The days of Camelot have long since passed, RFK Jr. never stood a chance.

Correct. Sears owner Eddie Lampert bought Kmart when coming out of bankruptcy for pennies on the dollar, then sold most of the valuable real estate to finance buying Sears. Then he created a new real estate company called Seritage (literally named pretty much after Sears). He sold all the rest of the company owner Sears and Kmart real estate to Seritage, which then jacked up rent, accelerating the store closures.
Sears may have been shaky but it was absolutely done dirty by vulture capitalism.
