Everything else (changed animations, timings, etc)? It depends on how similar the framework is to Origami King, and even then it’ll probably be a while.

piggybacking off of this to add another point to any normies who may be lurking here - PLEASE stop letting these sick losers gaslight you into thinking you're a "nostalgia-poisoned manchild" for simply having the ability to compare and contrast the industry you grew up with and noticed an obvious decline in quality thereof. We all know what we're instinctually looking for in games - passion, innovation, quality, consistency and delivery on expectations (these last two are important here). This is not hard!

The new localization smartly tones down much of Beldam's bullying from the GameCube original's script. In the 2004 Japanese version, Vivian is consistently misgendered by Beldam, Goombella's tattle, and her in-game character description, but the remake is much more affirming of Vivian's gender, as Beldam's comments are less direct and all other characters and text refer to Vivian as a woman.

But I've always preferred 64, but it's primarily because TTYD's backtracking is unbearable. The 30 FPS doesn't bother me as long as the frame windows are the same. I would prefer 60. But it's not a dealbreaker for me. Vivian being 100% truscum trans is whatever. Even though it's blatantly shoehorned in, it should be okay if it's just one or two lines of dialogue instead of the character's entire personality, which would otherwise make it unbearably annoying.

I just want to go to Creepy Steeple without PTSD of the endless backtracking. They've allegedly fixed that, and so it's good enough for me. I've never given TTYD a fair shot because I always felt insulted by how much it blatantly enjoys wasting my time. I'm just happy Paper Mario is Paper Mario again, and not some weird mutant offspring of the RPG series that seems to hate its own lineage.

That mod is fine but also loses the touch by introducing new areas,modified areas, replacing the music, ect
TTYD mechanics and gameplay without the extra unnecessary changes to the base game would be perfect
