Remember when Dad was the epitome of evil? Lily will act like she hates her family until it's convenient. She will brag about what a little shit she was to her father, and how horrible he was to her until rent is due. Now suddenly she's on speaking terms with her father and he is more than willing to offer some money. When her sister is sharing the sordid details of what growing up with Lily was like, she goes running to her father to tattle, as if that will help at all.
I'm sorry Lily, but I don't think your dad can do anything about Courtney. She's an adult and does not live under his roof anymore. He can do little more than plead with her to stop telling people about all this and I have the feeling she's not gonna stop "telling her truth" until she gets bored or until Lily's career is thoroughly and completely ruined. I think it goes to show just how desperate and helpless she feels right now. She does not know how to combat this. Her lies aren't adding up anymore, she was caught in a lie on video by a former colleague, Courtney is telling everyone Lily raped her and more and more people are buying into that narrative instead of hers. She's stressed and likely to make mistakes, and it is entirely possible this response video will actually make things worse in the long run than if she had just stayed quiet.
