I've been playing on Yuzu and despite getting a steady 30 fps, everything feels so slow. A big problem is that the text speed itself is painfully slow. Unlike the other games there isn't a way to speed up the text. I think it's because there's "voice lines" now that are really just grunts. Banjo Kazooie even let you speed up the text with the grunts being said faster if you chose to speed up the text.

I have not tried any of the 60 fps patches yet, from what I read they just double game speed right now. But I can't see it helping with the slow text since it's tied to sound clips now

It's a bit overbearing, but the melody is nice. I think the main issue is that Origami King's soundfont and TTYD's just go for entirely different vibes, so some tracks sound decent and others feel like weird covers.

I feel like it was pretty inevitable Treehouse would "correct" this translation considering current climate is still heavy on the identity politics.

I personally feel the story had more impact when Vivian was a very feminine guy and really they just erased one representation for another but hey ho.

If I recall correctly Vivian talking about how their sisters treated them was something you have to go out of the way of the plot to see so a lot of casual fans won't see this anyway.

It will probably turn out like Nu-Saints Row or TLOU2 where it will sell the first week but then the sales will plummet the next week as people play it and realize it's shit and notify others. It won't be a company killer like Nu-Saints Row, but it will probably keeps remakes from happening for a while.
