They datamined?
Dump ze vivian tranny translation on kiwifarms.

Alright, it's time I bust this out after hearing this shit.
If anyone is at least partially interested in making a revamped soundtrack for this game without the overly bombastic synths and other shit, there is this Google Sheets that documents a whole bunch of instruments used for the soundtrack of games, including TTYD: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JJBlHHDc65fhZmKUGLrDTLCm6rfUU83-kbuD8Y0zU0o/htmlview#
Just hit CTRL+F when sifting through what TTYD used and see what they had.
Holy shit i wish i would have known about this sooner. This is the kind of autism that tickles my fancy considering i make remixes as a hobby.

Troons are a minority but unfortunately a very vocal one. Why do you think so many games no longer have a gender option anymore and just something like "feminine frame" or "masculine frame"?
Crazy to me how despite being a very tiny minority is how vocal they are online to where they can force movies, tv shows, games, etc to change a character to being LGBTQ whatever just by whining to the developers to do it otherwise they'll threaten suicide. For an "oppressed" minority the LGBTQ community seems to have a lot of power.

Also was Vivian really that popular of a partner even before the trans shit came out to more people? I'd imagine Goombella, the Yoshi kid, or even fucking Koops was more popular than Vivian ever was.

It’s possible that was the original intent but that’s not how it was scripted or came across. It was scripted and came across like dude likes to wear dresses, which is entirely different. And far easier to be funny about. So it’s extremely unlikely Trans was the intent all along and it was instead funny ha ha dresses man.

Nintendo does not make fuck ups like this.
She was referred to as an otokonoko which is the Japanese equivalent of “lady boy”
Goombella calls him a sister, then catches herself and says “brother” and at the end of the with bases accept Vivian a their sister.
This is a little more blatant, but Vivian was always supposed to be trans, just the 2004 Japan version of it.

Regardless, my mateys yo ho ho’ed me a copy of it that’s modded with 60fps and I’m currently playing, so far the game is extremely faithful, but if it gets sus I’ll report back

Well hey if you're nostalgic for the WiiU we've got TONS of ports of your favorite WiiU games for only 10 dollars more than the original!
Speaking of, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse might be announced at that June Direct. It's basically one of the only Wii U games that hasn't been ported yet.

Alright where's that trans ack soyjak edit

edit: There it is

The Super Mario RPG remake sold like 3mil and it seems like it'll be the same for this game too.
Well that's fucking horrifying. I was interested when I heard it had been remade, and then I saw game footage. It's such soulless trash.

The remake graphics are okay I guess. To me, they just look like Goycraft with a texture pack. The way the characters' looks have been stylized, though... gives me the creeps. Peach in particular just looks like a sex doll. Somehow there hasn't been performative outrage over it being misogynist.

The remade music is overproduced maximalist dreck. It's skinwalking the original score, but it's full of crap that doesn't need to be there. I'll pick on the Mushroom Kingdom theme -
remake audio starts at 21 seconds. The crescendo percussion especially is a trainwreck. It completely loses the "march" feel because the cymbal crashes have basically turned into half notes. It's baffling.

The remade UI is also totally devoid of charm, because it has to be hyper-slick and glossy or something I guess.

They also removed the post-battle rewards screen. It's a boring center-screen popup now. That's enough autism, you get the point. This new slop isn't worth anyone's money.
Edit to stay on topic: did none of the usual suspects freak out that Mario gets a kiss on the cheek from Goombella after helping her at the very beginning of the game? Idle curiosity after playing through that moment a while ago.

Many thanks.

I’ll also state that not only have I played the GameCube original 30 times, I’m streaming every session go my friend who no life’s the GameCube original and knows every aspect of the game.

So far, it’s faithful enough that a guide of hidden secrets can still work even today, though they blocked off the speed run strat early on.
Currently my biggest gripe is that instead of pressing down to do down pipes, you press A. This seems minor, but its caused a lot of confusion with my muscle memory.

Music is hit or miss. Some tracks are worse, some are better. Visually it looks great, but the floors are shiny in ways that make no sense. Liked the stone flooring in the sewer shouldn’t be reflective at all, that’s not how textured cobblestone bricks work. And the grass is also too shiny.

My friend had a total tard moment because the map on Prof. Franklyn’s desk is now properly colored instead of fully finished right off the bat, and jumping in the background still moves faster than walking.

Also, every character does that Banjo Kazooie grunt thing when they talk. For Koopas and Goombas it’s fine, but some characters are extremely annoying. Peach and Goombella’s voices are awful, but Luigi’s was headache inducing in the intro.

But the game feels like it used to, the style moves work exactly as the they used to, it’s so far one of my favorite remakes just for being as close to the original as it has been.
I’m only in chapter 3 so far though. So it could still go south.

I can post the 60 fps patch if anyone wants it. It works mostly perfectly, but the opening FMV is a little stuttery. Still, with 60fps like the original it feels much more like a proper remake
