That's not practical for a celebrity who wants to fly cross-continental trips from major city to major city
That bitch better buy a Mooney and learn how to fly without balling it up in a farm field, but you're right, that's too complicated for most people who wanted this. Elon being the exception and below 10,000 feet you're limited to 250 knots which gets you from San Francisco (I'm using an example don't crucify me for referencing the big tech homo bughive city) to Las Vegas in an hour and a half or so. Of course, weather is a problem if you're VFR.

A silver lining here is that pedo Joe signed it, so if he pissess off the anti-Israel AND the climate idiots he's fucking done. Florida-man is going to tear him apart in November if the TDS-affected don't show up.

Generation X is the very definition of “safe edgy” and now have a bad case of collective troll’s remorse
I m tale end of genX.

The anxiety of the cold war and then the prosperity of the fall of the USSR.

In other parts of this site with other cow that movie american beauty gets brought up.

whats funny is

American beauty 1999
fight club 1999
The matrix 1999
Office space 1999

all those movie had a zeitguist of something more than the world we had in 1999

9/11 ruined everything.

I love that the SCOTUS told him explicitly he can't do this and he's just done it 4 times since then, basically whenever their polling drops below X amount internally. And htey're not even saving it for October to make it actually do anything for the election, this is just "maybe if we keep this up they won't storm the white house and drag us out."

Typewriters and snail mail are a really slow way to communicate. It's easier to get a HAM radio license. But if you're worried about being wiretapped or you're clever, you and whoever you want to communicate with can go to your local supermarket, buy one of those romance novels with the naked cowboys on them (and they have to be naked cowboys because Ram Ranch needs to keep the water in its showers flowing), and come up with a code that corresponds with the pages in the book.
The point of the typewriters is this

Rathergate fake letter

The Rathergate fake letter refers to a series of documents that were presented as authentic by CBS News in 2004, but were later found to be forgeries. The documents were allegedly written by Colonel Jerry Killian, a former commanding officer of President George W. Bush in the Texas Air National Guard, and were intended to show that Bush had received preferential treatment in the Guard.
The documents were presented by Dan Rather on a 60 Minutes II broadcast on September 8, 2004, just before the 2004 presidential election. However, experts quickly pointed out several inconsistencies and anomalies in the documents, including:
  • The font and formatting were not typical of typewriters from the 1970s.
  • The letterhead and layout were inconsistent with standard military documents.
  • The signatures were not consistent with Killian’s known signature style.
  • The documents lacked proper authentication and verification.
Despite these red flags, CBS News initially stood by the documents, but eventually retracted them and apologized for the mistake. The incident became known as Rathergate, and it damaged the reputation of Dan Rather and CBS News.
The fake letter was part of a larger controversy surrounding President Bush’s National Guard service, which was a major issue during the 2004 presidential campaign. The controversy ultimately led to the resignation of several high-ranking CBS News executives and the departure of Dan Rather from the network.
Key Takeaways:
  • The Rathergate fake letter was a series of documents presented as authentic by CBS News in 2004.
  • The documents were later found to be forgeries, with several inconsistencies and anomalies.
  • The incident damaged the reputation of Dan Rather and CBS News.
  • The controversy was part of a larger debate surrounding President Bush’s National Guard service during the 2004 presidential campaign.

Hence the media dubbing it "fake but accurate" because they're sure it's true, even if they had to invent the proof. The media has always been fake.

edit: also, in grabbing this AI response, I just realized why all the search engines are going that direction. Every query will be met with a bespoke response that can't be saved and won't necessarily appear the same to someone else or sometime later. It's a way to further atomize people, disconnecting even our selves from our past experiences.

Section 3 of the 20th Amendment only applies if the president elect dies or becomes incapacitated before taking office. In that case, the vice president elect becomes president. Anything before an official election sounds like it's fair game. So if the Party decides they don't have any confidence in Joe or Kamala, they could convince them to drop out and have someone like Big Mike Obama take the nomination.

Can we talk a little about this? In various right-leaning spaces I see what is, to my mind, a strange preoccupation with Michelle Obama being selected as the Democratic candidate, and I can't figure out where the hell that idea is coming from. While planning for a successor for Joe on short notice seems 100% a sensible move for the Democrats to make, given his obvious declining health, Michelle seems a terribly poor choice even for them. Assuming they decide to sideline Kamala, Newsom seems most likely to me as who they'd go with. I wouldn't rule out them calling up Hillary or a Squad member, either. Even DOCTOR Jill Biden, making a power play, seems at least semi-plausible. But Michelle has publicly professed a desire to avoid politics, and the Obamas have mostly avoided the limelight since 2016; she seems to me about as likely as being chosen by the Democrats as Bernie Sanders. What aren't I seeing?

Or is Michelle being picked just a mostly-jokey meme that I'm too 'tistic to catch on to?

Good post.

Nothing to add except: Mike Obama doesn't even like people and is comfy with being rich. No way he'd run.

"🚨Biden Official: We Can't Go Against Israel until Term 2; Israel 'Lies, Bombs, Kills All These Kids'"

Damn so sad that a young black man was brutally murdered in D.C. after a mugging gone wrong.

New Twitter files are being released AS WE SPEAK showing that CIA attempted a coup on Twitter:

There are people who still act as if the first Twitter Files never happened. It's amazing how obstinate nigger cattle are to remain in their pens. If TV Man didn't say it, it didn't happen.

As far as I can tell, its a 50/50 thing. The weirder of the deep /pol/ conspiracies seem to take it as legitimate fact by assuming everyone is trying to be like the Clintons, and now less weird people use it as a joke whenever referring to unexpected hierarchy changes in the democratic party.

Newsom seems most likely to me as who they'd go with
Nah, if there's still the whole multifactor cabal behind the scenes controlling Biden, the last thing they'd want is a politically polarizing ideolog. Swing states would not want to suddenly have California's problems, and it'd take time more than anything else to recondition his public perception away from that. Atop of that, he's probably not as easily controlled.

Honestly I don't know who they'd pull out, all the existing names are either dead in the water, nowhere near capable of competing with Trump, or both.

also Big Mike has the problem that the people who grew up under his school lunch are now prime Dem demographics, sorta like how Lieberman was a putz for a lot of reasons, but Gore really pulled an unforced error with picking BAN VIDEO GAMES guy the first pres election that kids around for the 2600/NES era got to vote in
