A family-authorized George Floyd biopic titled “Daddy Changed the World” is in the works from Radar Pictures, 8 Queens Film & Media Productions and Night Fox Entertainment. Floyd’s daughter, Gianna Floyd, and her mother, Roxie Washington, are involved in the making of the film, serving as executive producers.

Gregory R. Anderson (“Stomp the Yard”) will write the screenplay for the movie, which will capture the life of the man whose murder in 2020 sparked a global racial reckoning and fueled the movement against police brutality. The film is still in search for a director. Ted Field serves as producer for Radar Pictures, alongside Dr. Kaeita Rankin for 8 Queens and Timothy Christian for Night Fox.

The 46-year-old Floyd was killed on May 25, 2020, after Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for more than nine minutes while Floyd was handcuffed and forced to lie face-down on the street. Floyd was arrested after allegedly attempting to use a counterfeit $20 bill at a store.

While suffocating, Floyd repeatedly called out “I can’t breathe,” which became a powerful slogan of the racial justice movement. In 2021, Chauvin was put on trial and convicted of second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. The following year, Chauvin was sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for depriving Floyd of his constitutional rights. A federal jury also convicted three other Minneapolis police officers of violating the same criminal civil rights statute.

The biopic will apparently not portray Floyd as a perfect person, but rather a father with human flaws, whose horrific death changed the world. It will not be a traditional biopic, more a “gritty drama of a man and his community thrust into the fiery light of history,” according to a press release.

Washington said in a statement, “We are excited the world will see the real, jovial, and loving George we know. This film will humanize him, embody the essence of his life, and hopefully reignite efforts to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. It’s time for justice and equality for all.”

She added: “We need to make changes swiftly. No other child should lose their father like Gianna did. We thank everyone who stood with us and protested. George’s legacy will live on through this film.”

“The killing of George Floyd was a tragic, shameful moment in our nation’s history,” Night Fox’s Christian added in a statement. “His story, while painful, deserves to be told and I’m grateful to be a part of it.”

Rankin added, “I am committed to using my platform and talents to make a positive impact in the world. By telling George Floyd’s story and shedding light on the injustices faced by marginalized communities, I hope to inspire change and create a better future for generations to come. George Floyd’s legacy will not be forgotten, and I am honored to be a part of this important project.”

Deadline broke the news.

When a violent thug is buried in a golden coffin and becomes like a golden calf, you know it's Clown World.

When the passing of that thug sparks endless riots because "racism", you definitely know it is Clown World.

And then the "woke" wonder why there is quite a lot of "wrongthinkers" "racists" who "oppose progress" now?

I sometimes wonder if in 20-30 years the zoomers that become college professors and jurnos are going to paint the same "summer of fighting for justice" narrative that the boomers made up surrounding the 1960s. I feel like this is a step in that direction, but I dunno if any normal person will actually care.
I recently went to a Civil War museum, and they had a poster with George Floyd right next to MLK and Rosa Parks as an example of "modern civil rights." It makes you wonder what really happened back in the 1960's.

The nationwide rioting that went on during the civil rights movement has basically been retconned in public education in America. When I was going to school in the 90s and 2000s we got the "mostly peaceful" lies that they spouted off during the Floyd riots.

Will they make reference to his "landlord" porno persona, or will the landphobic jews in hollywood rent-wash another person of land?

Are there any good books on the 60s protests? I know there's one on the 70s protests. Days of Rage.

"Daddy Changed the World"

What exactly changed? That's like saying that the 2003 anti-war protests against the invasion of Iraq did something.
Police departments lost funding and soft-on-crime District Attorneys got put in power, which made a lot of cities even bigger shitholes than they already were. Antifa dipshits continued to hoot and holler about racism as Patrice Cullors filled her coffers and used the money to Buy a Large Mansion in a better neighborhood.

No one said the changes would benefit society at large, after all.

I will forever say that our founding fathers set a time bomb on this nation by bringing black slaves over here. Thanks, fuckheads.

Is it going to show him pointing a gun at a pregnant woman's stomach while he's robbing her? If the movie wants to portray him as a "father with human flaws," they should include that.
To be fair, that is slightly fake news. The report said that she wasn’t pregnant but had a one-year old in the house when St. Floyd pointed the gun at her and tried to rob her.

It doesn’t justify the nigger’s actions one bit, but this should be mentioned.

Wait what, I thought for the longest time Floyd literally held a pregnant woman at gunpoint. God why do retards have to give leftists easy wins by lying about shit like this?

The family must be running out of money to be doing this now. It's like three years too late. Police are back to pre-Floyd favorability numbers, and hardly anyone cares about BLM anymore.

That said, the guy was such a colossal fuckup, any attempt they make to make him look good will make this thing so fucking hilarious.

My favorite part of Floyd's life was how he had an athletic scholarship that he gave up because he "didn't like" living in Florida (Gee, dude, maybe stick it out for three more years?). He transferred to a college in Texas, but dropped out after one semester. So much for being a Supreme Court justice, lol.
I hope they show all the other black lives that were changed thanks to George Floyd during the credits, like former police captain David Dorn.
BLM got a massive number of blacks killed to the point that the gap between white and black murders and fatal traffic accidents is now larger than the gap between female and male.

Yea. Here is the police report.

I know it’s Reddit; I’m just having trouble directly placing the report in the forums.

So St. Floyd's daughter is releasing a religious flick featuring her absent dad. This is clearly a grift and leftoids are gonna eat it all up. Brown stains and all.

God damn I have never seen a corpse worth so much more than the man.
...And that is what you call a 'political martyr'. It just so happens St. Floyd put out quite the performance to make the leftoids sob and the right take pause. Unlike all the others that did cause chimpouts but didn't inspire pity. The riots over at Baltimore and Ferguson are great examples of this. There were riots, but no canonized saints... and subsequent inquisition in destroying American history.

"Days of Rage" was great. I was hooked from the preface where he talked about writing it and looking for sources and cold-calling people like, "Hi, I'm calling to chat about the federal building you blew up in 1974. Hello? Hello???"

As far as this film goes, I propose casting Morgan Freeman as Derek Chauvin.
