FOXY PIRATES MENTIONED LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Fuck, this chapter has been good. And Vegapunk has really been living up to the hype with these flashbacks. And I can see how we get the “funny story” Roger heard, seeing how we got some folks laughing and just plain shocked at what Vegapunk is saying. I just gotta wonder how long this Vegapunk talk is going to last considering what other mysteries there are and I assume Oda wants to wait to reveal those.

Kind of funny how we got this after Luffy facing the Gorosei in monster forms. We go from “Luffy is this stretchy man” to “Luffy has an ultimate form that makes him the reincarnation of an ancient being from centuries ago that plays a crucial part into how the world is the way it is.” I’m reminded of Naruto, when Naruto fought Kaguya and we learned about the finer points of Six Paths Sage Mode.

Zoro's final battle is going to be against the undead ice centaur samurai.
I thought it’s been spelled out that Zoro’s final battle will be against Mihawk. It’s been that way since Baratie.

Debatable actually as Luffy states that the Pirate King needs the World’s Best so it might be that Zoro needs to be the best before Pirate King and Luffy’s dream can actually happen.

Meaning Zoro might have one final opponant after completing his dream.

That's just Mock Town being a bunch of braying jackasses. Unless they're secretly victims of SMILE all along, they don't seem to be believing a single word. I can't remember if Bellamy ever returned there to mention the city of gold in the sky and was laughed at, or if he knew he was going to be laughed out of town and just didn't bother.

The world sinking to hide the history makes way too damn sense now among other things, especially since the technology to explore the deep sea no longer exists. Still is strange that Imu really wants to keep flooding the world, like what's even the end goal there?

This is the story of a girl, who cried a river and drowned the whole world...

You are assuming that Imu wants to flood the whole world.

But Vegapunk has just told all everyone weapons that can destroy the world exsist, so probably need to drown everyone now since seemingly they can’t get rid of the weapons and those pose a threat to the WG.

this chapter has me thinking. if the sea level has risen 200 meters that implies things like the red line are actually much larger than we realize. it also makes me wonder if fishman island is filled with the descendants of a kingdom that was sank by imu. it could also explain why the noah is there.

the thing im wondering about now is why the use of the mother flame makes the seas rise? it leaves a giant hole in the ground which you would think would actually lower sea levels but instead it makes the seas rise. almost as if something more is happening to the things that it destroys than we know.

Oda Forgot.
I thought Oda Never Forgets.

I really hope that we get some backstory on Imu soon, but I have a feeling that this may be one of those things that Oda designed to only be revealed one The One Piece is found, considering Vegapunk has said that all he’s saying is what he can say with certainty and he’s not going to even bother with speculation.

Do I really have to remind you fuckers about Enies Lobby Giant Unexplained Hole with a Reverse Waterfall every page?

It's not like flooding the World is a problem for him, The Red Line is tall enough he could legit sink the rest of the world and maybe only Wano would survive. If you have to go full retard and flood everything below the Red Line...there is a Devil Fruit that can grow plants.

We still have no idea where the Red Line came from. For all we know, Imu has the ability to create new land at his disposal just as he has the ability to flood it.

its possible that the red line started out as a mountain which the lunarians lived on top of until imu showed up and got rid of them all and since then imu has just been destroying islands and using them to build onto the red line with his fruit power or maybe the power of one of the ancient weapons.

Vegapunk mentioned there used to be continents. Either this was the equivalent of Pangea, or the war was enough to cause a literal mountain range to circle the earth. Still is interesting that even before the waters began rising, it was apparently always there.
