One thing I want to clarify: When you are arrested, the police officer lists the crimes for which he is arresting you. However, it is the job of the District Attorney to actually press charges, and what the DA decides to press may not be the same charges on which the police officer arrested you. Remember, police officers are not lawyers. The DA will press the charges that he thinks he can win. What we are seeing now, I think, are the police officer's charges. They could get worse for Nick, or they could get better. This is based on what I have seen happen in my home state, which is not Minnesota, so feel free to correct me.
