My bet is on someone with personal knowledge calling the cops and reporting the drugs, maybe Aaron. If it was a random anon they likely would not have taken it seriously. Someone calling them up and saying "my name is XYZ and I was at their house on date Y, saw drugs in location Z, and it they were accessible to children" would get them to take it a lot more seriously.

Then the cops come, find drugs in plain view, ask about guns, take the guns and add on the gun charge, and give Rekieta's wife an extra hour or two to arrange childcare so they don't have to deal with CPS. The gun charge is kinda bullshit, but that's why you don't do illegal drugs while owning firearms. It's a known risk, even with something like medical marijuana.

Nick has been on the radar of a bunch of people for a long time. People have attempted to swat him, allegedly. He said that the cops figured out that he was a target of such calls and handle them reasonably. Nick is also- technically- an attorney who is probably not predisposed to letting police into the house when he's got coke and guns around because "they probably won't find anything." That tells me that it's unlikely that the cops ended up busting them all because some random KFer called in to say "yo this guy I don't know has drugs, my name is I.C. Wiener."

I have to imagine it was someone with an IRL connection- like Aaron- who could give sufficient evidence or the cops did do a wellness check based on a tip and found a situation that couldn't be ignored. Maybe Kayla answered while Nick was barely conscious and said too much or maybe an incoherent Nick answered and gave the police exigency to enter because of kids who might be there.

I guess it doesn't matter. Living a degenerate life is one thing but letting it get so out of control that you and your wife get arrested for these kinds of charges- that's the kind of controlled flight into terrain that can't be anyone else's fault.
