If Aaron called it in, or shared intel with someone else to set it in motion, I think he's deflecting in order to preserve a possible relationship with either April or Kayla by drawing attention to how many people they have alienated online and in person. He claims to hate Rekieta but says he begged Kayla and April to get out of the house. He hinted that he is in love with Kayla and has bonded with her over Rekieta's alcoholism. So he could simply be hoping one or both of them are reachable after they get out and can get clean, and he's unsure if they would hold this against him. Alternatively, he finds Rekieta unstable and doesn't want to be even FURTHER on his bad side once he gets out, like "oh please don't show up mad with your drugs and guns!"
Aaron is quite clearly trying to set himself up as safe harbor to Kayla and April for his own selfish reasons. I suppose he's hoping he can uncuck his reputation that way but its still pathetic.
At the very least, he's temporarily out of danger of dying overnight. That last stream was a fucking disaster. I don't expect this to be a true wake-up call but this should shake up his drinking & drug spiral to stay alive long enough to provide a little more milk.
