Edit: Yeah, this is something that'll take a while. Especially since the text is all stored separately from each other, so I'll need to look at each individual dialogue/item description/etc to find out what's stored where, and they're not very clearly labeled. Guess it'll have to wait for my days off.

Also, they sometimes exclude spaces, so it might fuck up the formatting a bit. I'm guessing they do it to make things line up properly in the speech dialogue boxes/speech bubbles, given how it comes out when I post it.

I cant believe how much worse it is all around. Is it possible the tranny shit we are seeing is just because they fucking all forgot how to make video games? ive noticed even leaving aside tranny or nigger shit everything is just going downhill and games are fortunate to even run nowadays and are so poorly optimized that you need hundreds of gigs for single games. it also seems like the push for realism left them unable to do anything thats stylized or things that instead optimize the environments for readability pertaining to gameplay (ie fewer clutter than realistic environments everything being clear and easy to see for gameplay even if its not realistic in the slightest) and their solutions are less creative when they try to hint at things in realistic environments, having yellow paint in uncharted wilderness to tell you where to go for example.


are companies just too retarded all around to make games reliably? i know there are still good games but it seems like a lot of people are devolving into shit flinging apes.

Check the link I posted earlier. The msg file structure for the remake isn’t 1:1 to the original, but it’s very similar, with many of the names matching. And what are you using to open the MSBTs? Switch Toolbox should have line breaks as \n.

The real problem is that even though text is roughly organized by location, the text boxes themselves are still in a seemingly random order, so I don’t know if anything could be done programmatically beyond converting command codes; it would all need to be transferred by hand.

Not in the version I'm using. Maybe I'm using it wrong, though, since it's my first time. I've been double-clicking the .msbt file and then hitting the down arrow to scroll down between the different texts. Here's what it looks like for me:

I'm nowhere near fluent in Japanese, but I've been self-learning for a few months.

Window 1: Warera wa... (We are...)
Window 2: Kage... (Shadow...)
Window 3: San Shimai! (Three sisters!)

So he does refer to himself as a "sister," but that doesn't exactly exclude him from being an otokonoko. A lot of traps refer to themselves as "one of the girls." I'd need to see more than one small excerpt. Especially since trannies are notorious for desperately trying to claim traps.

Also, keep in mind that Vivian isn't a real person, he's the creation of Nintendo. If they say he's an otokonoko, he's an otokonoko.

I'm also wondering if the official version of the game is different from the version I found that fell off the back of a truck, because my script is different.

Apparently if you use Kuriimu set to work for Miitopia the NULLS and rectangles are fixed, they seem to be hex addresses, like HP values and other stuff.
I dunno what stuff like (...)<n3.13(...) seems to be, maybe font size? Or other parameters?

The second column (translation) is accurate to the Japanese original. This table seems to be dialogue from the original game where Vivian was actually female in the English version. Instead of laughing at her for being a trap, the other sisters bullied her for being ugly.

Hopefully I can get it done tonight, because I was planning on playing all day during my Saturday shift.
