A. They are first time drug offenders. Shit will get pled down. They will get something like suspended sentences pending the completion of rehab or probation and offered substance abuse treatment. It would be funny if Nick gets one of those ankle monitors that test for alcohol and drugs in sweat, but I doubt they do that for 1st offenders. The most serious shit will probably be CPS and if they find anything. There is certainly an investigation open. There is family in the area and reunification with the parents is usually the goal, but junkies regularly choose drugs over kids. I'mby no means a legal or CPS expert, but hopefully the kids get to stay with grandparents if Nick and Kayla choose to keep fucking up. It's not like they'll immediately lose custody forever.
