So CPS paid a visit, probably on Tuesday or Wednesday, and Kayla had a moment of clarity ending in giving Nick a black eye and then the police rolled in with CPS on Thursday.

Lastly I don’t know why people think getting CPS involved is an unalloyed good. There are many abusers in the system, even amongst CPS staff (guess where the best place to meet exploitable children is?)

Fathers generally get more of a pass because children are naturally close to their mother, and dads often at work anyway. Absent fathers really fuck children up once they hit their teens or so, and the worst many fathers do is be absent. Nick has gone way beyond that.
