Spy for the Nazis during World War 2His life is best described by the phrase: "a mild amount of tomfoolery". It's great biopic material. The Cold War period of his life alone is weird and exciting enough to be a captivating movie, if done well. Think Catch Me If You Can combined with A Beautiful Mind and a "who's who" of ex-Nazis and Western Rightists. You could even call it Imperium, what a title!
Now, this alone is, admittedly, not much. There are so many historical eccentrics that deserve biopics but never get one. So why do I bring it up?
Because I got the perfect man for the leading role. None other than Ryan Gosling. Literally me!

This sells it for me. The idea of Ryan Gosling playing Francis Yockey in a biopic is just hilarious. It would be on par with Tobey Maguire playing Bobby Fischer. It's something that needs to happen.
Unfortunately it won’t or, if it does, it won’t be done well. Hollywood doesn’t allow the mild amount of tomfoolery required for a proper Yockey biopic. It’s why we won’t have a Death Of Stalin equivalent for the Nazis, despite the mountain of material on Hitler’s inner circle (particularly from characters like Himmler) that one could write a black comedy off of.
get in a fist fight with Oswald Mosley 1948
Evie getting captured by the FBI when you're traveling all over the world to work with Nazi groups
criticize George Lincoln Rockwell get depressed when he literally doesn't know who you are
secretly work for yugoslavian military intelligence work for Soviet military intelligence work for Egyptian military intelligence have several love affairs with various women
after being pursued by the FBI for a decade accidentally get caught because your suitcase breaks open
weirdly hang out with a bunch of Zionist Jews for some reason
kill yourself in prison with cyanide
you can either make a really funny black comedy and make it very accurate like the death of Stalin or play completely straight
