It was the Priest. Man, no wonder the cops jumped. When the Pastor decides to step foreword its real shit. That is a huge deal incidentally, for those who don't understand Christian theology. Regardless of denominations, issues that happen within the church and its parishioners are the purview of the Priest, and US law actually protects Priests as much as Lawyers. They cannot be compelled in any way to divulge information they may know that was told to them in confidence. That said, the Priest also has a duty of care to ALL his parishioners, and this includes Rekieta's kids. Which means he probably first went to Rekieta and told him to shape up. When that didn't happen, his duty shifted to the children.
My understanding is that their ability to withhold information is connected to the sacraments i.e. confession. The priest is effectively just reporting something that was reported to him, but it's unclear how it was reported to him and by whom.

Well, I was a teen once, and my entire family behaves as if they still were
Hah, you got me there.

But everyone on the internet was the best behaved teen ever and their children are the best most responsible kids ever that would do chores from dawn until dusk. In real life kids and teens wreck any space they spend any significant amount of time in, and while you may get them to clean up after a significant amount of fussing, they still need a lot of looking after and parenting, They’re still kids, they still make messes, and it’s still expected that an adult will be there to help them do these things.

Who didn't realize? He seethed about it most streams and was basically just responding to criticisms from this thread instead of explaining the law. People would even 'joke' about how he payed more attention to this thread than the locals chatters that were paying him.
I mean, he has dents in his locals talking about how he was arrested for his prescription meds, so there are plenty of dumb people in his orbit. Half of lawtube talked about how hard it was to watch his decline and that they contacted him behind the scenes, the other half expounded upon how much of a great dad he is.

I guess I was right that Nick isn't the type to let the police in without a warrant- but I actually wouldn't have guessed that he was stupid or selfish enough to make them knock down the door with kids around. Given the circumstances of the call and the fact that they detained him outside the residence, I suspect they were trying to do things in as reasonable a manner as possible to try and reduce the trauma on the kids. At that point, you make it clear that you are not consenting to a search, have it recorded, preserve the evidentiary issue- but then you let them in so that you kids don't have to be on the receiving end of that.

What a disgrace.

Keeping him in jail for a few weeks would have been the best thing for everyone, especially him. Someone crashing and burning this fast can easily end up dead.
The good news there is it likely makes that relevant to the case. So the body cam footage may be subject to foia.

Only Catholics and maybe Orthos have the Seal of Confession
my understanding its a misconception that these priests do not have to divulge crimes confessed. I've talked to orthodox and catholic priests who have told me if someone confesses to murder they are actually obligated to report that into the police, for if the confession was legitimate in the first place the person would feel so much guilt that they would want to be punished for their crime.

Not to PL too much but I got popped by cops with some weed when I was 17/18. It was so minor I ended up getting everything dropped and expunged after a few months of unsupervised probation, but even that was a humiliating nightmare. Spending but a night in holding was enough to scare me straight as a kid

This is beyond a wakeup call, this is a life ruining event that will either push nick over the fucking cliff or turn him into a straight edge to end all straight edges.
I disagree. I think things are going to get even darker than before.

In the Statement of Probable Cause, he demands to see a warrant, and when given one immediately throws it on the ground in a tantrum more childish than the actual child he hid behind. In both his mugshot and hearing, I do not see someone who knows he's hit rock bottom. I see anger. I see indignation, from his point of view, with the situation in which he finds himself, and the process to which he's being subjected.

He does not acknowledge authority other than his own. I had already wondered how he is going to handle his civil case when he loses; I can't see him accepting being punished over something he said nor being restricted from saying it further under penalty of further punishment. Indeed, his actions of doubling, tripling, quadrupling down on all of his statements while at the same time trying every possible Hail Mary to get out of the case before judgement and without settling reeks of desperation to try to avoid these two great opposing forces from clashing for as long as possible. In his criminal case, they have already come to a head, and he is going to stew, smolder, and seethe over it forever — how dare they tell me what I can't do and have, I had everything under control, it was all fine.

He does not accept responsibility for his actions. Everyone always burns bridges with him first. It's everyone else who is wrong about how his show changed. It's Jim's fault that he was introduced to Montagraph. It's Randazza's fault that his expensive razzle-dazzle arguments didn't get him out of this mess. It's the judge's fault that she doesn't understand law. It's Aaron's/someone's fault that he was arrested.

He is in a death spiral, and it is a question of if his spirit or his mind will snap first. I do not believe he will overcome these underlying issues, and as things get worse and worse for him and both cases bind his mouth and actions by an authority not his own, he's going to be placed under more and more mental pressure to try to reconcile what he thinks with the reality of his situation. He won't be able to rely on his physical dependencies to get through it like he had been, because those are the very things he's disallowed from doing. He burned down his support network, and the few psychopathic vultures who remain are only there to feed on his carcass for their own enrichment and amusement.

He is going to get angrier and angrier as there's nothing he can do within the scope of what he wants to do. I just don't know where his anger will be directed when something finally gives.

Ketamine is one of the only FDA approved drugs that acts as a rapid antidepressant (by releasing BDNF in the brain) and treats treatment-refractory depression.

That's why if you search there is (1) tons of research & clinical trials in Google scholar and (2) a massive proliferation of Ketamine depression clinics that will literally prescribe it to you.

In this year 2024 of our lord sonichu, tons of normal working people are prescribed ketamine for severe depression.
Ketamine is effective when prescribed by a doctor. Like I said Oxycodone is still prescribed for pain. My point is that both are abused.
In Nick's case, ketamine being in his home strongly implies he, or someone else, was abusing it.

To Kevin Melin of New London, Minnesota:

I know you'll never see this, but I congratulate you for your service to the Lord. Although I disagree with fundamental aspects of Evangelism, you have saved five children of God from three wicked people. I know it's sad to see two of the distorted being the parents of the children, but the third being one who reaped what she sowed. The supposed husband of April Imholte, Aaron Imholte, must also take accountability for his life choices that also affect his children. He wasn't an innocent bystander forced into the indulgences of vice but an active participant. I wish you, your church, and your congregation a lifetime of holiness. I'm honored to say your work as a Pastor is a benefit to humanity as a whole. May our Saviour Jesus guide us on the path to Heaven and our fellow Christians, too.

'unknown brown substance' in a drug context could just be hashish, or it could also be fucking heroin lol
but the report doesn't mention any needles so i think (hope) that it's just hash

Most of the smack in America is brown heroin that can be smoked.

Just saying. And hashish is probably rarer than H. Especially In Minnesota.

Wouldn’t personally be surprised if Nick started to smoke smack to come down from the coke binges. Seen it before.

A pastor that read and understands scripture. Those are in short supply these days.

In Matthew 18:1-6, Jesus says, "And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea".

The pastor saw the devil's work and couldn't, in good conscience, allow those children to be led into the eternal fire.

It's not retarded if it's true. If random strangers have to feed his kids because he isn't, that's straight up neglect and abuse. Living in a crack den is neglect and abuse. Leaving guns lying around is neglect and abuse. Having enormous amounts of random drugs openly lying around is neglect and abuse. This is Trainspotting level shit.
Dude a kid will ask for and eat junkfood even if they're getting three meals a day. It also sounds like the drugs were secured in a safe and the guns are in the master bedroom. This isn't diaper kid level stuff.
