I can't comprehend why Nick went down this path. He had everything going for him in life, he had a nice house in the suburbs, a wife, kids, a supportive community both on and offline, and a constant influx of money from his trust fund + internet fame. Yet he deliberately chose to go down the same path as white trash like Ethan Ralph, for what? A chance to live out your fantasies of being a college frat boy, fucking multiple whores, getting crossfaded and shitfaced every night, despite being 40+?

At least Ralph had the excuse of having grown up in a trailer park with typical abusive, neglectful junkie white trash parents. Nick was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and still decided that this was his ideal life, and now it's led him to the exact same position Ralph is in, minus the additional baby mamas.

Imagine how fucking awful it must be for Nick's kids, seeing their father slowly deteriorate into a slurring, drunken shadow of a man, bringing random sluts who aren't your mom into your house to do drugs with them and cheat on your mom, and then seeing that husk of a man + your mother + your babysitter (who was actually their weird polycule fuckbuddy all along) get crammed into a police car while you have to wait for grandma and grandpa to come pick you up. I wouldn't be surprised nor would I blame Nick's kids for growing to hate him as adults, or even if they hated him right now at this very second.

Too many people keep babying Kayla, she's just as culpable as Nick for this. She's a spineless enabler who allowed and encouraged Nick to fuck other women and turn their house into a crack den. Both her and Nick have arguably proven themselves to be worse parents than Ralph at this point. Ralph at least keeps his distance (not entirely by choice), but these two are making deliberate, conscious decisions to worsen the lives of their kids.

And the worst part about all of this is that there's absolutely no way Nick is even remotely remorseful for his actions. He's probably grumbling to himself that he's been caught on a "bogus" charge by some "snitch". He'll likely address this with the same obnoxious standup "comedian" tone he's been trying to craft for the last few months. He deserves everything coming his way and more.

The office I worked at had a dedicated Filing DA whose job it is to sit in an office and read police reports etc and determining what charges to file, then it gets assigned to a calendar DA to see it through. Filing DA only personally saw the cases through he had a personal interest in or had experience in a particular field relevant to the case. The name on the complaint is probably the filing DA.

What would even be the point of adding "unconditional" on top of "conditional" when once added up the result is obviously conditional. It's you either go out without paying us but we'll breath on your neck constantly because there is no collateral, or take a sum of money and all you have to do is respond to court in orderly fashion, and if you don't you are out 50 grand + you get more charges and next time we don't treat you as generous as first time.

I'm still trying to figure out what the difference between unconditional and conditional (line 2 of conditional section) in terms of the bond value. I understand how anyone could naturally think that the bond value should have been on line 2 of the conditional release, but the judge did say include the stipulations in the hearing starting around the 11:00 mark (and same for Kayla), and all of those stipulations are marked on the conditional release section.
