Sony hate thread

(Copying what I said in the Stellar Blade thread)
Holy shit they actually added the Costumes back in.
They didn't replace the censored ones, but they released these as their own separate outfits.

Neil Druckmann is Peter Molyneux 2.0.
I would not go that far, honestly. At least Molyneux has made good games like Fable and The Movies among other things, even if he did made some crap games and other dumbass decisions
Druckman is the Michael Bay of gaming.
I would not go that far either. In fact, that's even insulting Michael Bay, because at least he does try to make something decent when he wants to

Both of you are bad comparing Druckman to other people. If anything, Druckman is just Druckman, he's known to hate creativity, fun and entertainment and love the smell of nepotism

No. At least Michael Bay has the ability to entertain, under the right circumstances (The Rock, Armageddon, etc.) Cuckmann's works are never entertaining, not even ironically.
Bay used to make good films, now makes shit.
Druckman made alright games, now makes mega dog shit.
Both Jews.

I stand by my comparison.

Bonus Jewish rants.

Got a PS4, and holy shit does it suck. There's nothing good to play compared to PS3 and the system is actively user hostile (You have to accept a draconian EULA if you want to even use the main menu). And no, I can't hack it and emulate actually good games because the firmware is too new. Jesus Christ Sony fucking sucks.

How much did u get a PS4 for in 2024? I assume its a pro? Could use it for a Blu ray player (if u have any)

Get Bloodborne and call it there.

I even prefer David Cage over Neil. Some of Cage's "games" can turn into a comedy if you don't play them as intended.
At least with Cage you can play Bingo or a Drinking Game how frequently he goes to the well on his tropes. Hell, easy example right here.

And like you said, if you purposefully don’t play as intended, at least Cage’s games react to that. It’s not enough to justify full price for any of them, but it’s more than I can say for Druckman.
Druckman is the Michael Bay of gaming.
Oi, don’t slander Michael Bay like that - if nothing else, Bay knows his strength is Big Dumb Action Movies, and has stayed in that lane since Pearl Harbour. You know you’re getting something reasonably entertaining if you turn your brain off - that’s far more than we can say for Druckman.

So the recent censor shit got me to check the Famitsu sales info after only seeing the initial 2 weeks of sales from Golden Week for Stellar Blade. I decided to compare its performance to Rise of the Ronin and Dragon's Dogma 2.
April 22 2024 - April 28, 2024 (Week 1)
[PS5] Stellar Blade (SIE, 04/26/24) – 48,998 (New)
April 29, 2024- May 5, 2024 (Week 2)
[PS5] Stellar Blade (SIE, 04/26/24) – 18,133 (67,131)
May 6, 2024 - May 12, 2024 (Week 3)
[PS5] Stellar Blade (SIE, 04/26/24) – 13,033 (80,164)
May 13, 2024 - May 19, 2024 (Week 4)
[PS5] Stellar Blade (SIE, 04/26/24) – 10,935 (91,099)
March 19, 2024 - March 24, 2024 (Week 1)
[PS5] Rise of the Ronin (SIE, 03/22/24) – 64,646 (New)
March 25, 2024 - March 31, 2024 (Week 2)
[PS5] Rise of the Ronin (SIE, 03/22/24) – 20,139 (84,785)
April 1, 2024 - April 7, 2024 (Week 3)
[PS5] Rise of the Ronin (SIE, 03/22/24) – 12,080 (96,865)
April 8, 2024 - April 14, 2024 (Week 4)
[PS5] Rise of the Ronin (SIE, 03/22/24) – 6,985 (103,850)
March 19, 2024 - March 24, 2024 (Week 1)
[PS5] Dragon’s Dogma II (Capcom, 03/22/24) – 68,592 (New)
March 25, 2024 - March 31, 2024 (Week 2)
[PS5] Dragon’s Dogma II (Capcom, 03/22/24) – 9,172 (77,764)
April 1, 2024 - April 7, 2024 (Week 3)
[PS5] Dragon’s Dogma II (Capcom, 03/22/24) – 4,171 (81,935)
April 8, 2024 - April 14, 2024 (Week 4)
[PS5] Dragon’s Dogma II (Capcom, 03/22/24) – 1,816 (83,751)
So Stellar Blade has sold better than Dragon's Dogma 2, as DD2 had a great launch but had its kneecaps blown off. Meanwhile Stellar Blade is still a bit behind Rise of the Ronin but it might just catch up soon because despite having a much weaker start, Stellar Blade is selling 56% more weekly copies than Rise of the Ronin did. If it maintains a bit of its momentum, Stellar Blade might catch up to Rise of the Ronin in a few weeks. I wonder if the recent update will fuel sales to keep its momentum.

It does not matter if Stellar Blade made a lot of sales if it did not make enough sales to justify its cost of being exclusive to Sony. The less copies the past games sold, the more copies the present and future games must sell. Stellar Blade has to make up for the lackluster sales of the other games on the platform and increase the sales of said platform, the PS5. It carries a heavy burden on its shoulders and if incapable of bearing it (as many previous games have been), the next game will have an even more up hill road.

Old news/missing source, but allegedly the original "Last of Us" was only good (or at least commercially successful) because there was two other people to tard wrangle Druckman in the writing room (George Lucas style, you could say.)

Then those two people were fired, and Druckman was made the Creative Director of Naughty Dog.
