This is the most boring SF6 stream Dave has inflicted on his audience.
Even when he was ducking Master ranked players by hiding in Casual matches, at least those streams gave some good salt to laugh at.
This stream also serves as a peek into the bizarro mirrorverse where Philip "DarksydePhil" Burnell was not a sore loser and obnoxious winner when playing fighting games.
Because TopTierBrian is an Established Ally, DSP is clearly biting his tongue and is not accusing Brian of being a mashing lag-abusing flowchart-dependent lagswitch-using degenerate scrub.
Even though the connection is at a steady and robust <90ms ping, there's no fightstick-slapping baby tantrums about dropped inputs and network lag.
It also shows what a bizarre anti-social misfit Dave is, in that he refuses to voicechat with Brian, claiming that he doesn't have the equipment to do it. Forget that he risked ear infection by putting on his headphones to talk with the Sidescrollers for over 5 hours last year.
Brian doesn't even rate a "GG, dood!" text chat message between sets. He's just another prop that DSP can leverage for content.
DSP has been DESPERATE to have an online friend that he can create content with for the past couple of years, you would think he would try to be more social and accomodating to another streamer that would lower themselves to play with a toxic asshole like Phil.

Dave can't beat his joystick screaming that Brian is a fucking ahnline pattern player piece of shit scrub who didn't earn the win, who did nothing that takes skill or was ahn reaction and doesn't know fundamentals and never once hit him legitimate,

So it's even more boring than your typical Dave SF6 stream, is what I'm saying.

He literally did a wake up level 3 which you ranted about being the scrubbiest thing ever that no pro would ever do. I would actually develop a form of respect for Dave if he didnt muzzle himself and just whined about the same shit while playing this guy because this all realistically could be spliced in between ranked matches and the gameplay is indistinguishable

This is just another case of Phil not understanding what’s entertaining and what’s not.

It would have been fine to have Brian come on run a few sets then jump into ranked but no one wants to watch you play the same person for two fucking hours.

It has nothing to do with Phil being bad at the game or boring or whatever. I wouldn’t want to watch two top level players fight each other for two straight hours either.

Something like that would work if the people playing were talking to each other and cracking jokes while the 2 hour fighting game set was more of a background thing. Not that that would help in this case because Phil is a being devoid of charisma. This is probably why he didn't want Brian on VC let's be honest, back when he did coop with Brian and Kekon they completely upstaged him and it's not like those two are shining beacons of entertainment and charisma, DSP is just that unlikable, unfunny, boring and stupid.

He will never play fridays again. Friday seems to be the day where the majority of good players play. I mean ffs "where is mine??" while the game flashes "counter hizt" or "Punish counter" Yeah I wonder why you fucking mongoloid. And why are you not using wake up drive reversal? It should be effective enough. If Phil continues like this he WILL stroke out during one of these salt sessions.

I'm probably exaggerating, but this nights stream felt like one of the most personally embarrassing things (almost on par with the incident) that Dave has ever done: After a string of defeats in SF6 he decides to wheel out a denthead acquaintance to beat up on, just because he can't hang in competitive online play.

The sad excuses how it's just impossible for him to use a mic WHILE LITERALLY LIVE STREAMING with obs on a PC are just the cherry on top.

I have to admit, when tips were dropping every month last year, I did NOT foresee them growing every month this year---while Phil's views sank.
