One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

Funny, I'd imagine a lot of the 4Kids watchers would spend their time atoning for watching that dub and not thinking it was shit even back then.
Tekking admits it's not a good dub at all, however, he does find it fascinating in just how much 4KIDS butcher it to where horseshoe theory kicks in in that it manages to still have "so bad, it's hilarious" moments that make him laugh just as much as the series does now.

Of course, comedy is subjective, and he has some nostalgia for it. He's one-of-a-kind and the fandom needs more people like him tbh.

I wish CN would ask Toei if they could air Funi-dubbed One Piece from episode 1 on their new Friday Toonami revival.

What's even the point? It's available on Netflix, Hulu, and Crunchyroll if someone wants to start it. Toonami might not even last long enough to make it halfway to Sabaody.

One piece cultists have a rule repellant against moria and sexually suggestive stuff unless where they're in other arcs they can suck oda's dick that stuff.
No, they love the sex stuff. They just arbitrarily pick Thriller Bark and Fishman Island as the only arcs they're allowed to complain about it. Why else would there be so many fucking Carrotfags.

Bro, it's unbelievable of how newfags, twitterists and redditors say that stuff needs to be handled in a serious way in those arcs. They're just literally programmed to hate them.

From what I see, most newfags love Fishman Island. Their leftist brains do not seems to notice the clear anti-BLM message in that arc. It is the story of a marginalised group seeking retribution against their oppressors and being willing to kill everyone in their path to get it including each other. The arc is about how being discriminated does not give you the right to discriminate. The New Fishman Pirates are based on the New Black Panther Party. Here is what members of the original Black Panther Party had to say about them (from wikipedia):

Huey P. Newton:
As guardian of the true history of the Black Panther Party, the Foundation, which includes former leading members of the Party, denounces this group's exploitation of the Party's name and history. Failing to find its own legitimacy in the black community, this band would graft the Party's name upon itself, which we condemn. ... [T]hey denigrate the Party's name by promoting concepts absolutely counter to the revolutionary principles on which the Party was founded. ... The Black Panthers were never a group of angry young militants full of fury toward the "white establishment." The Party operated on love for black people, not hatred of white people.

Bobby Seale:
We will never, ever stoop to the low level of the mentality of a racist to just hate another person because of the color of their skin or ethnicity. We don't do that. That's not the goal objective. The goal objective is human liberation. The goal objective is the greater community cooperation of humanism. The goal objective is to get rid of institutionalized racism.

Here is the link:

BLM is just another manifestation of the New Black Panther Party but for some reason no one sees it.

Fishman island was fine. I get the message it's sending, I like the whole "don't ruin the struggles of your forefathers with blind wrath" message, but it suffered from being the arc where all the Straw Hats have to show off the cool new things they're capable of when they're serious and just how powerful they are compared to two years ago which means they just kinda get to trounce the villains with minimal effort. It also suffers from introducing Kung Fu point. I think it's good as an attack, but for god's sake it's like one of two things Chopper does with his powers anymore, he used to use that versatility of his. Now it's just Kung Fu point and Guard point. Also I like Carrot, I like Yamato, I like Lilith. Only one of them should be a Straw Hat and I won't say who.
Edit: Hah, I just reread the recent chapter. I think it'd be funny if Stussy's remark "Without Stella around, who do I live for?" is a hint that Luffy is going to get another obsessive fangirl.

I have a theory as to why they cannot find the Den Den Mushi.

What if it is completely mechanical? No lifeforce, no breath, no nothing. Just a device that can do whatever a Den Den Mushi can.

Thriller bark is a fun arc, fishman island has its own problems but is a good reintroduction after the timeskip, i think the most criticized has to be dressrosa, i have seem more complains about it

I just remember Dressrosa being the never ending arc.
Everyone was saying that it was the worst arc as it was airing (ditto for Totto Land) but now they all are saying it is one of the best (again ditto for Totto Land).

The current arc, especially if it’s a longer one, will always be maligned as the worst arc in the series; because reading each chapter weekly is objectively the worst way to consume One Piece. Once people decide to go back and read the arc in bulk, the positives in the story are able to shine through.

this also applies to the anime. i recently rewatched the dressrosa arc and it felt so much faster compared to watching one episode every week.

Dresrossa arc made me move from anime to manga as watching side characters making retarded noises and arguing who's going to repay their debt to Straw Hats broke me. I watched the arc almost to the end too and gave up on the episode where Straw Hats are running to their ship. To my shock after moving to manga, which I've never read before that, I've realised that not all of the problems I had with Dresrossa were anime's fault.

While watching anime I was certain that most of the colosseum participants were filler characters either completely absent from the manga or only present in the colosseum in the manga and given extended roles in the anime to pad out runtime. I find most of desings to be really weak, not even OC tier, and unlike other arcs with many characters they are all dropped onto you at once so you don't even have time to get accustomed to them. I really didn't give a shit about what was going to happen to them for the whole arc. I thought that only Bartolomeo, Cavendish and MAYBE Chinjao crew would play any role in manga post coloseum. Same goes for some members of Donquixote family.

I can understand how many of the previous arcs were redeemed in the eyes of fandom but I will forever dislike Dressrosa for wasting my time with lame and annoying characters.
