I would have to assume he was told they had a warrant, but that the officer with him didnt have a copy. I guess his wife was too dumb, panicked, or strung out to read a simple warrant at the house.
Okay, I think I see a plausible scenario that makes Nick's behavior during the arrest (somewhat) justifiable:
  • Nick is apprehended on the road.
  • Traffic cop tells Nick that cops are at his house with a warrant and can't get in, needing the door code.
  • Nick knows that Kayla is home and apparently won't let the cops in, so he refuses in turn, assuming that the traffic cop is lying about the warrant to circumvent his rights.
  • Finally, Nick gets to the broken-in house and sees that the warrant is real. Throwing it to the ground is anger in part directed towards his wife who he now realizes should've let the cops in to begin with.

This one has got to be in my Top Three Locals Copes. Cops spend the vast majority of their time wrangling druggies and white trash - not chasing bank robbers down the street like they do in cartoons or something. I would trust the average police officer to be able to tell the difference between drug sores and scabs from scratching mosquito bites.

They're more retarded than Chantal's gunt guards.
from all the lolcals screencaps posted here, that user is the biggest coper of the lot and clearly mentally retarded

We don't know what led up to this but I can come up with a few better options to try first before setting off a chain of events that ended with the police kicking his door down.
Why are you assuming this is what he did first? Everyone else who reached out to Nick says he shut them down hard.

The thing that bugs me about the pastor is you'd think the one thing a sorta-related clergy member would try *not* to do would make this shit situation worse. Going to the police with the report he gave he had to know he was nuking the Rekeita's from orbit. He wasn't trying to help. We don't know what led up to this but I can come up with a few better options to try first before setting off a chain of events that ended with the police kicking his door down.

Nigger, a week before the report Nick had his rant on his priest at his church being a pedo, he obviously tried to speak with Nick and pissed him off and only when he didn’t change and possibly even after getting some info from one of the kids does he go in the morning after church.

He wasn't trying to help Nick and Kayla, he was trying to help their children. That much is clear. We don't know for sure, but it is speculated that the pastor tried less drastic measures such as talking to the parents first. The pastor is probably aware of abuse that hasn't been made public yet and felt that this was the best way to help the kids.

Reminder to anyone new that this is what Kayla was like BEFORE she started her junkie journey with Nick.
Imagine how fucked up mentally she is now.

"Why are you crying, dear? Have a fat line of coke."

:really: just a short break, guys, I need to check that Lady Rackets hasn't overdosed or suffocated in her sleep, BRB :really:
:really: ok we're good, she just needed a little pick-me-up :really:

Yes, there is a document that reflects this, but it's not known whether it's a typo or not. I relistened to the arraignments and the judge doesn't specify the exact statutes they're being charged under. Other documents conflict with it.

Regarding the future of the Racketsman, it all depends on how he sees his YouTube career and what he wants to do with going forward.

He could get himself sober and turn his life around, given the resources that life has given him. But that would require him to turn his back on his Internet fame and returning to the life of simple rural Minnesota lawyer. Because let's face it, his life as a respected lawtuber is done and over. Nobody goes to watch his streams to lawsplain, but watch the goulish shell of man utter incoherent babble in between his coke brakes. I doubt he could go back to the law streams, even if he wanted to.

Can he do? Maybe, but has most people suppose, it's really unlikely. It would involve admitting to his various weaknesses and that lawtube phase of his life has absolutely ruined him. I don't know if he could do that.

So what I think he going to do 1-3 streams somewhat sober, but realizing that can no longer do it without the booze, noose snow or Ku Klux Ketamine, he'll relapse and continue to spiral.

Sam Neil laughing/crying is how I feel reading these threads sometimes.
You gotta go with the laughing because the crying will kill you.

Yes, I saw this on the stream. If you mean Kayla's faces of meth face. I wouldn't take the name of the statute too seriously, though, and I hope the "sexual" part is just the text the online website puts in when you type in the statute, sort of like "INCEST W/OWN CHILD" or whatever was what Chris-Chan was charged with. That's descriptive text that isn't even necessarily from the statute and isn't the actual law, it's just something whoever designed the web server for the public did.

Oh God, I hope it's a typo. This just gets darker and darker.
Agreed. When they were originally booked, there were no child endangerment charges (only the drugs and the gun charges). The charge would have been brought between their arrest and the arraignments.

Have I just read a running theory some think one of Nick's kids probably ate a gummy or something?
When was Nick's worst day ever (before the arrest) because if your checking shit my guess is something around that time
The theory is that when Nick needed to miss a stream earlier this year due to a close family member experiencing a health emergency, it was due one of his children getting into some of the drugs. The gummies are the leading theory because of a remark Aaron, the Liar made on stream while going over a news story about a teacher taking THC gummies to her school with her (plus children getting into weed gummies makes sense as to the child, it's merely a candy).

While this is retarded locals cope because there has been a fuckton of it, there is reason to distrust cops even if we're choosing not to now because we don't like Nick and there is months of evidence that he is a junkie. He's had weird bruising or a possible sore as well. Don't think cops won't pull some shit to fuck you if they want to. "Hmmm smell like weed in here doesn't it?" is a meme for a reason. Yeah the retard in the car on COPS with warrants smells like weed because he's a banger and just got done smoking up with his boys, but they'll do that kinda shit to regular folks to if they have a mind to.

I don't trust the police and I don't want them in my life. It's one of the primary reasons I follow laws I don't agree with, generally. I actually gained a lot more respect for the police in my area after I started regularly listening to a scanner. I heard a lot more diffusion, de-escalation, and care for the community than I expected even for rural small town departments. I actually have a fair amount of respect for most department in my area. That doesn't mean I want to talk to them.

Cops are assholes, and have every right to be assholes. They have to deal with the dregs of society on a daily basis. It's not their job to be your buddy.
