On the Trump NY trial, if he's convicted, how quick can the judge sentence? I assume since he probably plans to override a not guilty verdict he already knows/has been told what length of time to sentence Trump for, so any deliberation on his part will be pro forma.
If they can jail Trump in the next 30 days, and force the Republicans to throw in Nimrata or Meatball, they can let Biden gracefully step down and replace him with Newsom or somebody.

If they convict Trump with the judge instructions of "it doesn't have to be unanimous on the same crime" that is unconstitutional and SCOTUS will step in even if it's a state case.
Trump would have the right of appeal and it would easily be reversed even in New York because this, like the fraud case, breaks too many things, but this judge is so gay he might hold Trump in jail until the appeal. Which would be unprecedented for something like this but Merchan has his marching orders.
The real "surprise" will be when they get a hung jury, and the judge just removes the holdouts and replaces them with new little faggots to convict.

I guess the gamble will be if the boomers rinos will turn on Trump because "mah law and order!" because jailing Trump over complete bullshit will only reinforce his support with other groups and wont move the needle at all for his opponents.
Its also a crossing the rubicon moment and will show there are no political solutions. In a time period where the small hats desperately need Trump to keep the right firmly in the "our greatest ally" plantation.

I don't know if I believe this anymore. Once the Dems arrested Trump on such obvious er...Trumped up charges all bets were off. We saw that the Dems or the elites that control them no longer care about public opinion and they may very well be right.

It's even worse than that. He's saying that they don't have to agree on what the underlying crime might be. This felony "falsifying business records" charge only exists as anything besides a misdemeanor because it's tied to an underlying crime, and the judge is saying that it doesn't matter that there is no established underlying crime, so it could just be whatever you imagine it should be. Felony orangeness? That's an underlying crime. Beating Hillary Clinton in an election? That's an underlying crime. Whatever you imagine the unspecified, unprosecuted crime, that the entire case can only exist because of, to be, is fine.
