4chan is where actual discussion goes to die. Imageboards are pretty much just a discord pedo/tranny/mass shooter grooming site format at this point. Everything is set up for it from shitty moderation to even more retarded posters supplemented by bots that just create echo chambers. Any actual community group discussion happening is quickly broken up via bans handed out by jannies running gayops via discord while thread shitters can do whatever they want free of consequences. And both of those are reader clients meaning they can only go so far to fix issues like not filling a whole page width or letting you resize the comically tiny reply boxes, they don't add anything like multiple files per post, sitewide sound webm uploads, proper text formatting besides having to type out [sp.oiler] (when [sp] or [.S] (edited this to unfuck formatting bc apparently this forum doesn't even look for terminator blocks like HTML does) would be way more efficient) or an overboard to look at active posting sitewide that are game changing features all other IB software's had for over a decade now. I still remember the explosion of insane shitposting just off of 8chan having a max limit of five files per post on the average board config where you had guys spamming weird fart porn or Quark laughing and multiplying them until it became a cascade of earrape, meanwhile what the hell has ever been done approaching that level using 4chan's limitations? If I can go to the most obscure backwater imageboard that is probably just five or six pedos spewing weird injokes at each other and find even one of those features in use then what excuse does 4chan even have by now for being so far behind the curve to the point of destroying creativity and making the site a safe zone for only the most torment addicted schizoids?
What, you have problem with How the Saturn Could've Been Saved thread #498,077 or the umpteenth thread discussing the validity of using retro-achievements in emulators?I open /vr/ to see if they are reacting to the TTYD meltdown and it's still the same retardation of repetitive topics full of people calling each other zoomer for not fitting some nostalgic mold straight outta reddit. I hate how the only old game site left worth using now is Atariage, I really fucking do.
I thought the spike in posts corresponded with that recent resurgence in GME.Gookmoot doesn't give a fuck about scamcoins as long as the shils line his pocket.
Actually, that made me want to check out the posts per day on biz and, surprisingly, it's been hovering around 4-5000 since the 13th.

This spike coincides with mods easing the email policy (Archive) to allow any new user to post after a 15 minute wait with email verification now acting as a bypass to that wait.
It isn't moderation, discord or bots that makes having a real discussion on 4chan so fucking hard it's the fact everyone is trying to get the most replies by saying the most inflammatory thing. You can't have a real back and forth because everyone is either posting about porn or trying to fuck with each other. It's exhausting. Try having a real discussion about a game you like on /v/ and see how it goes. I think if you're over the age of 25 and still use 4chan on a regular basis you need to get your shit together.4chan is where actual discussion goes to die. > doesn't know about the +20 alt. accounts power users.Anonymous posting tricks your brain into believing that a thread with 200 replies is filled with dozens of different posters, when it's just the same 10 power users posting the same garbage since several years. At least with accounts, you can see who the basement-dwelling losers are who make up the majority of activity.
Forced positivity, karma farming and fake votes!?I made a new Reddit account recently just to see if it was better than 4chan, and it was worse. The lack of upvotes on 4chan makes a massive difference because Reddit is filled with forced positivity and meaningless interaction bait posts made to farm karma, and that's way more cancerous than whatever nu-4cuck is nowadays. As @postfeetpls said, I'd rather get called a nasty name than be silently downvoted because it's more honest and open.
My dude you have been able to press crlt+s to auto spoiler on 4chan since 2014 (I think it might even be 2012), the fuck are you talking about. Multi images posts are fucking cringe and look like shit. Even 7chan(the board software who started it) deeply regrets normalizing this shit. Fucking most modern imageboard software that adds in so much shit, completely forget imageboards are meant to be about minimalism. As for file size come on dude that shit costs money, smaller imageboards can get away with that shit due to data limit in their server package and rarely hitting the limit/going above. As soon as a bunch of people start downloading a large file it will get cut or shit will go down. Because oh hey by the way you went X TB this month you owe us insert massive amount of money. If I remember correctly keeping 7chan alive costs around 200-250$ a month might be less severs are not cheap!having to type out spoiler
A soyjak would have been deleted and the poster handed a perma before this would get removed. Is BMT not against the 4chan rules? From a thread on /gif/, which has threads like these almost weekly.
Heres a sample of these people's mental illness:

>errmmmmmmmmmm... you can't upload multiple images on muh 4cuck splinter site because it looks bad and it costs le monies. You WILL stick to shitty, out of date, limited rulecucked posts because it tickles my oldfag clitty for being so oldtroon cultur-ACK!!!My dude you have been able to press crlt+s to auto spoiler on 4chan since 2014 (I think it might even be 2012), the fuck are you talking about. 4chan uses an insane amount of data every month its not cheap to host the site at all small amounts of data adds up in the long haul. But yeah allowing webms without sound globally. But sound on a few boards even tho the data limit for webms is the same its fucking bullshit and stupid.
All I see is a textwall of "I want my outdated limited garbage, here's an altchan no one goes to as another example"; excusing inability to adapt to evolving hardware and standards with "muh minimal" too lol, what exactly's maximalist about adding resizable reply boxes to site code made during an era of 1024x768 monitors when we are in the era of Vistavision width displays? My dude you have been able to press crlt+s to auto spoiler on 4chan since 2014 (I think it might even be 2012), the fuck are you talking about. I wonder which board will get email verification next?Gookmoot doesn't give a fuck about scamcoins as long as the shils line his pocket.

I can see mods implementing the current system (wait 15 minutes or verify your email) on pol in novemberI wonder which board will get email verification next?
That could mean 10 different things at this point, you'll have to elaborateThe usual suspects
I mean, if you go to a board and sort by reply count, you can get an idea.If any one has a bot able to scrape every thread on a board it would be interesting to know how many posts get no replies and what's the average number of replies on each board. 4chan doesn't seem very interactive any more and I think the data would show that.
