We've seen with these Democrats, they honestly don't think they're ever going to face consequences for their actions. If anything, from this judge's perspective, running a highly politicised Show Trial of a former and potentially future President of the United States could only be beneficial to his career

Just got back from a weekend in Tucson AZ with the pops and family. I havent lived there since the 80s but I have visited throughout the years. What a fucking shit hole that place is. My girl commented this is like a place people go with no hope. It's almost California prices, even being 95+ degrees in that fucking sun there are still homeless. I went to the mission out there on the indian res, what the absolute fuck is up with that place.
I feel very blessed to not have this migrant bullshit affecting me too much in my day to day life. Seeing it first hand is person is something else.

I am now convinced the Democrat plan at this point is to jail Trump at all costs as soon as possible.
Despite evidence to the contrary, they think seeing him behind bars for even a short time will stop normies and swing voters from voting for him. Every day he's off the campaign trail is a win for Biden. If they can cancel the first debate, even better. Though humiliating him by having him roll up in a prison van with an ankle monitor would be great too.
They are depending on this case. Lawfare to keep him off the ballot failed. Nobody cares about E Jean Carroll and the settlement didn't bankrupt him and force him to drop out. Same with the real estate case, and he's able to appeal that and Leticia James couldn't seize Trump Tower. The classified docs case is delayed indefinitely. Fani Willis made a mockery of the GA election case.
So it's all down to this judge. Doubtless they promised him protection and probably some future reward like a state Supreme Court slot.

Sort of. I think the plan is to hang a conviction on him so they can use it as a cudgel during the election season. Same tactic with the impeachments, but with more meat on the bones for the low information voter who's completely oblivious to how fucking bad the trials have been.
Doesn't matter if it gets appealed and overturned. Doesn't even matter if Merchan gets mysteriously Minecrafted a year later right after he gets told to explain his reasoning. All that matters is keeping the Bad Orange Man from retaking the White House.

Yep, practically zero. Despite popular belief, I don't believe the majority of Elites want a fedcoin. Those that can't think ahead don't see much value in it, and those that can see ahead see the obvious risk of taking their one point of power, money, and making it so easily manipulated. A few might be keen on it thinking if they can manipulate it first, they can lock themselves down as unassailable gods, but the majority are using money to achieve other interests/ends and won't want to risk it being fucked around with at the level a fedcoin can.
Remember, the whole appeal to the gov of the fedcoin is they see when you're committing big financial crimes with it and even preemptively control and stop it, the guys backrooming piles of cash don't want to lose that option. All it does for the majority of the financially influential is put their one power point into someone elses control, they won't want that.
