I don't have all the evidence at hand from 2 1/2 years ago, but certainly others here remember how Barnes was Jack's attack dog going after Sydney Watson, The Quartering and even Nicki Rickieta for daring say something about Jack. For sure - the focus of CPS is always reunification but if she wants her kids back, she will need to get sober and maintain it, in addition to never putting them in the same situation ever again. Whether she can do that or no remains to be seen. They wont give her the kids back if she stays with an unrepentant, drugged out husband, incapable of recognizing what he has done. For those who don't know, its extremely common (pretty much standard practice) for police to seize cellphones from suspects of drug possession/distributing. That's so police can track down dealers/manufacturers.

When they seize phones, they ask defendant's to voluntarily give up their pass codes so police can quickly download the data. If defendant's refuse, police have to break the codes on their own which can take several weeks.

So if Rackets still has his pre-arrest phone, he likely cooperated with police and gave up his pass codes so he could quickly have his phone returned to him.

That would be monumentally stupid of him all things considered, I'm unsure if they will subpoena, meta/X whomever. If nick used passcoded signal for Comms and how that works even if you give the lockscreen pass are you obligated to give up signal pass codes too?

I'm Lolbertarian enough to be somewhat tempted by their argument that cokeheads should have guns. However, they are being disingenuous and ignoring the circumstances.

Here's how we argue this starting from a strong Lolbertarian perspective: I'm sure some of you use alcohol and own firearms. You might also use alcohol and own a car. You might also use alcohol and have children (as Dick Masterson pointed out, you might even be getting drunk around children on Christmas and New Year's).

Despite this, you do not think that your rights should be taken away. Here are some reasons why:

-You do not consume alcohol around unsecured firearms

I'm not sympathic towars Rekieta's wife at all. According to the man, his wife was the one who wanted a big family to then sleep most of the time and neglect them. I think (could be wrong) according to this thread this had been going on before the start of the downfall because she's on so much medication.

Having said that ouf all the parties involved including the kids. I think she has the best chance of recovering. She's near her family who could take up the responsibility of the kids freeing her to clean up (with family help). I don't think the Rekieta husband and wife has much personal responsibility so the family support is vital in getting them better. Her family also seems to be the church going type so they might be good at supporting her if they could get her away from her husband. In the end though I doubt Rekieta the wife is fitt o take care of her kids anymore base on how little effort she'd been putting over the last year or so. It could be the drugs, but she's also needed help to run the house even before that.

Rekieta the man pretty much burned all the bridges with everyone who tried to help him so no he's a lost cause. He doesn't even look like he think he did anyhting wrong in his arraignment.
