Plagued /r/TNOmod and the Reddit HOI4 modding community - When a subreddit for a video game mod turns to utter insanity

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I hope this is seen to completion but outside of the Balkans/Central Europe its basically the same old KR stuff, I hope they realise that and focus on finishing the stuff that sets it apart and don't get bogged down outside of it.

So I read in a youtube comment that OWB removed slavery and then checked out Caesar's Legion to see if that's true and it is, does any one know why?
That's retarded. That's literally Caesar's Legion bread and butter and is an obvious sign of conflict with other factions like the NCR. It's even pretty telling when a 'serious' Libertarian-type such as Mr. House calls Caesar out on it.

I'm guessing it's a Steam censorship rule or something. Like the 'no genocide mechanics' rule.

iirc Slavery has been disabled since update 4.0 of OWB, back when the last big update for California happened.

I haven't played the Legion or any slaver faction in a while, I think last time I played them was maybe update 3.0? But I think slavery is currently represented with national focus and bonuses rather than a variable like caps or PP.

In fact, according to the FAQ:

Q: Why doesn't slavery work?

A: Slavery is currently disabled in Old World Blues pending a rework. Any rewards or triggers that rely on slaves or the slavery system will instead use caps or political power. The system was removed because it was un-interactive and yielded little meaningful reward for player investment. Overall, the team believes that a more robust slavery system that reflects its reality in Fallout, while still being respectful, is possible with a rework. There is no currently planned update for this rework.

It remains to be seen if the devs ever go back and rework the system. They seem to be focused on pushing out new content for now.

Ah far less silly than I thought but thanks I try to forget that reddit is a thing.

But Vic2 has slavery so how can that be okay, but this isnt?

Because Vic 2 is a hard game for new players to understand on paper. If any Paradox title wins the Excel Spreadsheet moniker it is Vicky 2.
It doesn't help that allegedly, the source code for the game is so bad and filled with spaghetti code that Paradox's own devs don't even know how the economy system works in Vic 2.

I just think thats retarded Nu-dox cope open Vicky2 is preceding quite quickly and has none of the spahgetti code problems.

Apparently the main feller who ran that ice cold mod thing (in which they'd DMCA mods and allegedly spam Loli Porn to people) are back and the Ceasearreich mod is a target of their usual antics, including the apparent spamming of gore and the usual pedophilia accusations being thrown around.

i had heard a bit about these guys back when they first started but didn't pay much attention, is there anything about these speds to make figuring this whole thing out a lot clearer?

But now begins the imageboards, and i wanna add a lot of those, but the ones of big significance are gonna be sharty and 4chan.
I think that 8chan/420chan/Renchan should be a surprise path for 4chan, like how The Think Thank are a surprise path for the MOJ in OWB. And Something Awful should have a clock system similar to TNO's Taboritsky, dealing with Lowtax's addiction and marital problems, the more you spend time actually fixing the site, the faster the clock moves, with midnight being Lowtax's IRL demise

Richard "Lowtabby" Kyanka is a pretty fun concept, I'll give you that.
