That's 1-888-227-8255 Hello you're on Car Talk

Fun times. I'm having the same problem with archive.org that I had when I was trying to upload Sphere of the Lycanthrope. It gets to 99% (in this case after six hours) and then it decides to have a "network error" and deletes everything. Happened twice! So I'll have to figure something else out.

I'd pack it into a torrent but as the only 100% peer and primary seed, I'm not sure I want to put myself out there.

It sucks because it never used to be this hard. The Internet is so much smaller and less useful than it has ever been. The file sizes sure are bigger though!

yeah you'll probably need to divvy them up into smaller chunks

I appreciate the effort you guys are putting into collecting a proper archive of the shows; I'll try to assist with seeding. In the meantime, have a clip from a January 1997 show in which they received a crank call from the Space Shuttle Atlantis.
Amazing! And I totally forgot to check YouTube. Just pulled in a bunch of cool supplementary material and video footage. AND I remembered an interview that Tom and Ray did on NPR's Fresh Air show. So I cut all the bullshit adverts out and threw that into the collection as well. Okay that's it! Making the final push now. Will get a magnet up here in a little bit and I'll let that fucker seed for a couple days.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

Uploading the file in nine TEN parts. Sorry about the hassle. But it's all there. Your zip/rar/7z will merge everything. Files should remain up for thirty days. OP also updated!

FIXING IT!

Edit: This may be slow going for a while. I'll keep running it. And I'll keep looking for other upload options as well. I can split it and re-host it in other ways but I'm not going to begin doing that until the weekend when I have more time. Hey yeah, I ended up doing this!

Here it is:

As of posting the link, it will stay up for thirty days unless it gets pulled down. It is in ten parts, each 4GB with the final piece being smaller. Your zip/rar/7z program will re-merge everything properly. Feel free to share with anyone and everyone however you feel is appropriate.

Enjoy!

A few years ago, the surviving brother was doing radio spots for eBay motors. I immediately recognized his voice and it took me back. I'm not sure if they were nationally broadcast radio commercials or just where I am because they were from the area. (Yeah TMI whatever, gimme the seatbelt - it's apropos of cars)

There's national TV ads too so it's all over.

Having a hell of a time completing any of the downloads (can't resume once failed, cuts out 3/4 of the way through). Does creating an account fix that?

Just in case you (or anyone) are still having issues, @Bobson_Dugnutt says he used a downloader (jdownloader in his case) and everything worked fine. So you may wish to try using one of those to help you out.

I'll have to figure a way to get a website setup via a .onion link because I'm happy to mirror this but I doubt my datacenter wants an NPR DCMA.

I don't think I'd want to be hosting a torrent in 2024, even squeaky clean Linux ISOs tend to get sniffed and/or blocked upstream with relative ease.

So, most of the preexisting RARs are uploaded. #9 and 10 are still on their way.
