No, I am thrilled at this news because, past a certain point, you actually want the campaigns to be as late as possible for the lol factor.

My aim is for Dan’s time between day 1 and fulfillment of Black Flag: Pineapple Perception to reach 10 years; whereupon we will need to stop measuring the duration against landmark artistic and architectural endeavours, and perhaps switch to major wars instead. Dan is already beating the duration of the Second Boer War; perhaps he will ultimately exceed the German war of the Holy Roman Empire before he passes away.

What should be noted here, is that the Snowman campaign experienced a leveling-off effect after the immediate run. It didn't climb much higher than the first day-or-two of funding. It would appear that Fearsome will succumb to the same fate.

What do these books have in common? They are both not illustrated by Ethan Van Sciver. It would seem after making yourself out to be the speartip of artists taking their balls back---the audience agrees and mostly rejects any attempt to farm out content.

Unlike Eric July, who began this process by hiring outside talent, and thus when he brings in notable names: the audience appreciates it.

Time will tell. Maybe we will get a Fearsome ARCA car. That'll save comics.

It'll be interesting to see how these things do. Dead medium maybe. But they're a free add on if you have a membership. And he wants to use this as a way to gauge interest in new characters and whatnot having their own books (one off or series). Not to mention whatever else he might be going on.

Not sure how much he is making off these. But if he can keep the price as low as it is. It's basically like a checkout item at a supermarket. Just spent however much on comics/merch... What's $7 more for a magazine?
