My working theory is this: Zane Whitener is as internet addicted as he is deranged as he is retarded as he is malicious.
Here's what I believe he was attempting to accomplish:

- Create an absurdly long video that goes after various online creators to rile up their fanbases
- Bury the offending section in the final part of a nearly three and a half hour nightmare of boring lefty video essay, forcing all but the most fiercely autistic to receive info about video second hand
- Wait for expected negative reaction from every fanbase that was intentionally pissed off
- Remove offending section and leave the boring lefty video essay, content in believing no one is going to sit through all that bullshit
- Try and ensure no one will sit through the entire video by padding it to high heaven (it contained 5 straight minutes of reading mean comments, some of which had a single like. it also contained a section on some horror convention that featured Kevin Spacey, a section decrying the use of AI art in a horror film that basically no one remembers, and a section complaining about some vampire movie that literally no one remembers, while also taking time to defend his retarded Hills Have Eyes video and blaming it for everything that's been going wrong in his life)
- Give out half-hearted non-apology on twitter after removing the aforementioned section. The rest of the video stays up, with the intention of getting people to believe that the video wasn't all that bad and people just overreacted. Sit back and wait for the narrative to develop and sympathetic Patreon donations to flow in.
- Crisis! Turns out Zane is a fucking retard that couldn't help himself. His mania bled through the entire video, not just the final section. If he were to leave it up, even in its current state, the narrative would never form that the video wasn't that bad because the whole thing only ramps up in insanity as it progresses. All Zane did was cut off the climax. People as insane as Zane can't just turn off their brainworms, even if it's necessary to make the bait work.
- Resolve situation by removing the video entirely, leaving what's left of the audience with, at best, a hazy recollection of a video most didn't even watch by design
- Hide from the internet for a time and pray the fanbase gives the benefit of the doubt regarding the video's quality. Emerge later to a warmer reception and a bunch of "glad to see those damn dirty nazis didn't keep you down" comments from the suckers that fell for the plot

Given that he brought up his financial woes in the video, and given his sudden Patreon spike, I believe this was a really hasty attempt to temporarily alleviate his financial crisis at the cost of his dignity and long-term viability as a YouTuber. The fact there are still retards in his comments and on Xitter white knighting for him proves that he's not completely fucked, and would lend credence to this interpretation. This theory is about the only way I can fathom how he'd somehow create this video without realizing the sort of reaction it'd receive, then remove a single portion of the video after a very predictable blowback, only to then end up removing the entire video not 48 hours later. Of course a simpler explanation could always be that he is ungodly retarded.
