Furry Fandom and Drama General

A furry going by the name "malamoot" (or just "moot" for short :epik:) is, as of this writing, actively getting trolled by comedian Jim Norton. It all started because Mr. Malamoot got all SJW-y about an article Norton wrote for Time Magazine.

At this point, Norton locked onto Moot for some reason and just started to troll him.

I think it may have been feigned combat from the start. Either that or they made up in the middle of it. From here:

One of the likes is Norton.

There is already so much porn of this character that people are drawing for a myriad of reasons ranging from "furries gonna fur" to autistic "protest" art against Putin and Russia. Yeah, because drawing their FIFA mascot getting spitroasted by giant dicks is really going to hit Russia where it counts.

If anything this "choice" was purely intentional because the people behind the marketing campaign saw how pervasive something like Zootopia became in the wider Internet art culture and wanted their product to follow the same path.

You'd be surprised how easily triggered Russians can become

We are talking about a country whose politicians took down a Steve Jobs memorial because the CEO is gay, and wants to ban Apple products for the same reason

What do you guys define someone who accepts the definition of furry as in 'fan of animal anthros' but doesn't care about the whole 'wants to have sex with them/do sick and nasty things involving them'?
Is that really a furry? Because people who like Poo bear, Smokey, and Micky mouse would be defined as a furry based on being a ('fan of animal anthros'). I guess a furry is still a fan but more fangirl+/fanboy+.
In that regard, I'd consider them normal people as long as they don't touch, hug or bark at me.

What sticks out to me is the guy's pose and facial expression. He's supposedly happily showing off his artwork, but instead he looks as if he's sadly standing in the aftermath of a disaster. It's as if he knows his life is pathetic and can't hide it even as he shows off his work. It's sad and creepy at the same time.

What worries me the most, is the fact that he seems to be in a legit art gallery (the lil stand thing is a staple for business cards, looks very basement hipster, ect) Then again, no gallery would fkn pin anything to the wall since it damages the piece; and the wall. So, the fact that the person setting this up didn't laugh at him is understandable since they put it up incorrectly and in a way that would be fit to sue the gallery. I'm putting my money on HS is having a gallery show downtown or the local gallery is open for submissions. I mean, it is always good to put your stuff out there, but you still have to think about what you are submitting and who will be looking.
Those are not "artistic nudes", that is fetish porn on display at a public event. There is a difference. As a fellow negro, I believe there is something wrong with that boy's mother for encouraging such a thing.

Seeing the pic again, I do sorta wonder what type of gallery is this? This looks more like an art show to me. My town holds one bi-annually in a random spot downtown that often requires space to place up artwork, sculptures and the like, and usually the artists are given a space to put their collected works together for show. I recall going down one corridor that was focused on youth/teen-oriented works and saw a wall of nothing but anime and Doctor Who fanart drawn out on copy paper, placed in sheet protectors and simply stapled to a board/wall of sorts.

If this was a gallery, it sounds like a pretty local one and not something of reputable note (I don't expect pieces from the Old Masters to be on their walls). Though going by this being mention as taking place at night, I can only assume this is just a local show at a gallery and it's not a permanent thing.

Yeah, I was gonna mention that as well. He honestly looks like he's looking sideways at someone's lame furry porn scribblings and has the classic "What da fug?" expression on his face.

It must be pretty disheartening for an aspiring artist to think he's finally getting his art up in a real art gallery only to turn up and see his work next to furry inflation porn.
