i think the funniest thing about this is that when kirt started doing these streams he would embed them on every single board on his site so no matter where you went if kirt was streaming you would be greeted with him usually sitting in a dark room doing nothing most of the time. but on this instance anyone who had not blocked kirts stream already was greeted with him screaming on the floor drugged out of his mind.
i really think that this stream was the final nail in the coffin for anyone who thought kirt was ever going to manage to keep 420chan up and running ever again.

This drove everyone fucking insane, as well as when he started going really hard with the weed ad's. Shoving them in your face constantly. While bragging on IRC/discord he's getting more than 5k a month for them. Getting fucking ublock to constantly work was a nightmare, since he was constantly bypassing it. Like the weed ads got so bad that they would show up after every few posts in a thread scroll down DUDEWEEDLMAO while trying to fucking read some posts. Scroll down just another 3,4,5 posts DUDEWEEDLMAO AGAIN. Shit was also on the sides of the page too. I swear at one point it was on the top bottom both sides and cutting into posts. Imagine having fucking 6 ads shoved in your face for the same few weed companies, having to right click and fiddle around then get pissed when shit breaks. Because no shit he's going to spend all his time making sure those ads don't get bypassed rather than fixing/updating the site. all while claiming how great his custom imageboard software is, when it was as outdated and shitty as kusaba X 420chan was breaking all the time.
If I remember correctly tho the stream got shoah'd right? Its against twitches TOS to constantly have your stream embed on a site having it autoplay(its basically botting). People bitched to twitch something happened he got really mad I forget its been so fucking long right.
It was only after he finally got those ads that he started slowly updating the site. Which also forced him to remove all NSFW boards and even NSFW(nudity was ok but sex was not) from even /b/. This really pissed people off too, the ads were not to keep the site alive. It was soley to profit and harming the site what it stood for, over a decade too. Quite a bit of money too if he wasn't bullshitting for awhile he said he was making near 8-10k a month(twitch dudeweed another ads etc). 420chan was hosted at his place on a simple server with bell internet. I think he said it wasn't even a biz line he got away with hosting a profit site with just another normal account might have been a single account 420chan&house internet all on one simple 120-200$ bill. Removing boards and content while plastering your site with A(i)DS worse than a site like fandom wiki to make a shitload of profit. When the site is fucking alive because of the userbase and user content, it was the final nail in the coffin. Then he randomly nuked IRC for discord, thats after he nuked a few IRC channels in the past which pissed people off claiming it was due to bad drama.
OH WELL 420chan is dead 1chan&7chan are still alive as the second and third oldest imageboards. Fun fact 7chan turns 20 in a few months. 420chan could have turned 20(is the site alive I heard the cripple bought it and it was up again for a bit), but instead of giving the site to someone else to host/wtv. You know someone who has been part of the community for years and years. Till he gets his shit in order. He shuts it down "out of nowhere" because clearly 420chan is only about him without him there would be no 420chan! Such a fucking enraging shitbag move such a selfish fucking cunt such a fucking ego.

420chan was supposed to come back but they seem to have gave up and it now redirects to leftypol. i highly doubt it will ever come back because the people who would care have all moved on. 420chan survived as long as it did because it had a userbase of people who wanted it to survive kirt managed to piss off pretty much everyone in that userbase.

I have no interest in degeneracy these days but I will sincerely miss the glory days of 420chan, which largely had nothing to do with Kirt and everything to do with the chan community surrounding the site. The complete lack of shame and fleeting moments of self-awareness these people had in their lives was like reading a Meg, Mogg, and Owl zine.
