Deoxys should get 3 more forms to cover the other three stats it doesn’t have forms for yet. Hp, sp def, and sp atk. Given the regi’s got normal, electric and dragon types over the years and the rest of the gen 3 legendaries got at least 1 alt form.

Im still in disbelief that ORAS didn’t give a shit about doing that while shilling alt forms for the box legendaries and aeon duo as a selling point. With Episode: Deoxys being the first thing you do postgame hyping up mega rayquaza.

Given the Knight motif, it's probably meant to be reminiscent of faulds on a Breastplate. The armor flares out at or above the belly button so that you can maintain protection of the lower belly while still being able to move without the armor coming into contact with your skin or lower pieces of armor.

Are you really itching that much for more nu-mon designs like tatsugiri which is literal sentient tempura sushi that is eaten during double battles? Looks like something you'd see as a restaurant mascot instead of a pokemon.

Ehh, I personally prefer the prehistoric paradoxes overall with the weird ideas they tried, even though they weren't all winners (looking at you, Raikou). I know I'm a turbo autist for saying this, but the future paradoxes are all kinda what you'd expect from a designing standpoint, and the shinies were lazy.

I'm not sure how hard TPC goes after blatant genning like this today, aside from the mass ban waves during last year's World Championship and in other events, but I don't think the guy that used a Beast Ball Porygon2 in VGC 2017 (?) got any punishment from that blatant cheating, so I don't expect anything will happen from this. Unless enough people whine about it on social media, then maybe.

Apparently the guy running that Terapagos dropped out of the tournament and got outta there ASAP, they knew what they were doing and left before the TOs could issue a DQ. Having an injected Terapagos is kind of pointless too, its IVs are hard-coded to be flawless (barring Attack which is set to 15) and come with a Hardy Nature. The IVs are fine and the Nature can be swapped with a Mint, all that's left after that is EV training and choosing a moveset/held item combo.

As far as banning hacks goes TPCi has gotten better about it in recent years, there was a big stink regarding a fair amount of players getting banned at Worlds 2023 due to having hacked Pokémon and it was probably the biggest I've ever seen (although it probably helps that Japan has actual laws against altering video game save files). It's worth noting they'll also get it wrong sometimes and ban legit Pokémon.

But there are things like the Beast Ball Porygon2 that will still fall through the cracks (IIRC this one fell through due to nepotism since it was from a major name in the competitive scene, if anyone else had it they'd get a DQ), that's why these hack checks evolve as the Generations move on and more QoL stuff is brought into the games.

That's kinda sad. I got a terrapagos from a bot with my OT and the appropriate catch date. There are decent bots out there. All those bots in surprise trades are garbage and if he had actually paid for the Mon from one of those websites I'm pretty sure he could have got it with his OT as well. Dude literally took a generated Mon from a surprise trade and used it.

I know it hasn't happened yet, but imagine if GF reinstates Pokemon retaining their old moveset between games after you make one of your gift Pokemon forget a special move.

Sadly, it's unlikely that they'll reinstate keeping old movesets, since they're trying VERY hard to make sure that No Guard Fissure Machamp does not happen. And it's mind-boggling how many game changes were made to prevent this:

• Pokémon transferred from VC (the only way to get Machamp with Fissure) to Gen 7 transfers from bank will always have their Hidden Ability.
• In the Gen 8 games, Ability Patches cannot change a Hidden Ability to a normal one.
• Despite Ability Patches now being able to change a Hidden Ability to a Normal Ability, Machamp is not available in the Gen 9 games, and Pokémon entering S/V will get a new moveset for S/V.

I don't know how they plan to prevent this with Legends:Z/A, maybe either not including Machamp again, or not including Ability Patches in that game. Heck, I can see GF just making a clause where you can't use Ability Patches on the Machop-line specifically, although I want to know what Lore asspull they'll make to try to justify it. Or maybe they'll just get rid of OHKO moves entirely in Gen 10.

The moveset resetting also makes it easier for moves to get removed in later games outright.

Legends Arceus didn't have Abilities included except for two specific cases (fuck you Regigigas), so it could be possible that's the case in ZA as well. Which will be stupid since Abilities play a big part in what makes Mega Evolutions viable or downright broken, but we'll see.
Also it is supposed to be set in the past, so even if there are Abilities this time around, they don't even need an in-game explanation as to the lack of Ability Capsules/Patches.

Spoiler: Speed Stats Autism

A Lv50 Machamp holding a Choice Scarf with an optimal Nature and full IVs/EVs would have a Speed stat of 175. If we disregard the opponent Pokemon boosting their Speed via items, abilities, or moves, this is faster than the likes of Iron Treads, Urshifu, Chi-Yu, or Garchomp. With a neutral nature, the list would expand to include the likes or Ogerpon, Iron Moth, Iron Valiant, Roaring Moon, Sneasler, and so forth. So a decent chunk of Pokemon would get kneecapped because they either can't outrun Max Speed Machamp, or can't beat him in a single blow (compounded by the fact that Machamp can distribute its remaining 258 EVs into defensive stats).
Another issue is because of Scarf Fissure Machamp even existing, this means players must not only include at least one Pokemon in their team to take him out, they would also need to have that Pokemon ready when the big muscle man rushes out to sweep your party.
Yes, I said party, which leads to the third issue being the opponent Machamp would also be in a party, most definitely flanked by two Pokemon to deal with any threats so Machamp can drop Pokemon in chasms with no interruptions.
The whole situation would be like the Gen V metagame where any Pokemon slower than Breloom had no place to even start.

TLDR - Just because there are ways to deal with the Machamp, doesn't mean he isn't broken enough to not get kneecapped.
