He thinks now is a particularly bad time to do political streams because everyone's divided and that if he did political streams he'd anger 50% of the people and please 50% of the people. That's why he's holding off on it until at least after the election.

I'm guessing Donald Trump getting convicted has reinforced that idea and he thinks that any streamer commenting on it will be destitute in a few days while he continues to chill and prosper.
