I’m surprised I haven’t heard the “real”defense of why the Rekita adults and kids weren’t keeping that house ship shape - they are rich. Rich people rely on domestics to take care of lowly tasks like cleaning.

The Rekitas had help doing the house work for them and never taught or expected their kids to do any. Teaching kids to clean floors, do laundry, etc..implies the kids might need to do such things themselves one day instead of paying the help to do it.
