We don't know, this is dated from 2022, but the series has supposedly been getting thrown around for a reboot since 2019. This could either be set in stone as what they are doing, be just one of several pitches, or even just be outright rejected. But it's from the original creators, so it's one of the potential futures for the franchise that they envisioned.Wait so this isn't a cancelled thing like that Hey Arnold sequel? It's actually going into production? Man if I was severely autistic with a fixation on cartoons I would be fucking pissed.
I don't see it that way and I'm surprised you say the left doesn't get it when the right is the party of traditions. You could have all the money in the world, but if you don't have anyone to share it with re: friends and family you are basically nothing.Notice how adult TJ isn't a broke loser living in his mom's basement but a wealthy and successful tech bro who cashed out and is now retired and doesn't have to work.
Yet the show portrays him as a loser and a failure.
This is a very revealing look into the sjw mind works.
In leftyland you're only allowed to succeed the "right" way.
He's not even balding, frankly in this day and age I count that as doing pretty alright for himself.Notice how adult TJ isn't a broke loser living in his mom's basement but a wealthy and successful tech bro who cashed out and is now retired and doesn't have to work.

Both the Ashleys and King Bob were set to return in this, though the modern equivalent of the Ashleys are a group with a nonbinary kid, and a boy.I do not believe Spinelli would be straight. It would've made more sense to just have it be lesbian moms. I believe the guy who voiced Mikey died so I get it. TJ had several failed business ideas however he had many arcs where he was learning the dangers of capitalism so he could've been an Elon Musk / Effective Altruism. Gus would not troon out but he would join the military after puberty to toughen up and have kids. Gretchen would be a scientist but super model? Nah. Vince would be a high school coach.
There's no way these guys have kids old enough for grade school and Finster is even alive. She'd have to be 95 in a retirement home about to die any day. Ralph would've been a pedo because I mean... look at him. The principal also definitely diddled a kid. Their teacher, however, definitely the type to still be working there.
I didn't read it too deeply but I wonder if they bring back the Ashley's or that kid that was king of the playground. How many Ashley's became young moms?
This show was actually boring as fuck and I watched it religiously as a kid. It just really lacked a sense of humor and borderlined on a drama as the conflicts were always these very big adult concepts scaled down to kids "playing house" within the confines of this created child society that had unwritten rules and expectations. That's really boring as a kids cartoon. The other shows had much more humor (whether gross out or actual jokes) compared to Recess.
In that perspective I can see why they tried to reboot it with similar themes but absolutely no one wants to watch kids dealing with today's issues in a kids cartoon. Not without the humor and you can't really have humor and the show is already dry so this best left as a childhood relic.
I might be interested in a Doug or Pepper Anne reboot. I think the latter would be really wild and possibly work with these dumb SJW themes a lot better.
Lol, it would be Ashlee with two Es, Ashleigh with a G, Ashly with a Y, and Ashley with a D.Both the Ashleys and King Bob were set to return in this, though the modern equivalent of the Ashleys are a group with a nonbinary kid, and a boy.
Spinelli is a bisexual art student turned punk rock singer turned cop turned lawyer
Gretchen becomes a heckin adorkable Velma Dinkley supergenius and it's hinted that Spinelli and Gretchen has a lesbian relationship at some point in the story
And of course, any girl who has a tomboyish side MUST be a hardcore radfem lesbian, no exceptions. Great writing. And of course they spit in the face of the romance TJ and Spinelli had in the original series and an extra middle finger to the people who grew up with the show (AREN'T YOUR EXPECTATIONS SUBVERTED???!!!)
Of course TJ is the one who gets his heart broken here, not Spinelli.
I know this is a stupid thing to say about a cartoon for children, but even as a small Miriam, the writing just felt fake and gay and inauthentic to me.
