Andie Proskus part 6. In part 5, Andie forgot all about her alleged fine motor problems as her little caged squirrel brain screamed the word “wheelchair” over and over until she finally got approved for it, after which her mobility issues totally changed again. We learned her family are well aware of her bullshit and that one sister is totally estranged after Andie skinwalked her teenage struggles with anorexia, and we also learned the “abuse” she speaks of is her baiting her parents into fights and then recording the aftermath to post online. We found out why the running mommies disappeared, found out about the trust fund she’s desperate to get her grubby paws on, and ended by meeting her old friend Regina, who happily filled us in on the original cancer lies and how Andie initially admit she did it and only started claiming it was a catfish years later.
And we're going to stop there, but only because the last part is way too long to include here and this is the natural break. After this Andie starts to give out way more information about her early life, her family, and other shit that help us really flesh out her lies and tie up all those lose ends.

And with that humiliation, the Tiktok era is finally coming to a close. Her engagement is in the shitter, the big-name accounts are no longer paying an ounce of attention to her, the child army has found new gods to worship, and even a gals’ trip with Tia the Cancer Dancer can’t save her. My headcannon is that the person who bailed on her in New York posted that she was meeting up and was informed that Andie had faked cancer. Andie chimped and tried to deflect like she always does and the other person wasn’t buying it. The “guilt tripping” was reminding her that it is a disgusting act to convince people you’re dying of cancer when you’re not. But I never figured out who this other person was so I can’t do anything other than speculate there.
We’re now on to her currently active Instagram account where she’s trying to prove the dressage neck squinty eye thing is not just funny munchie antics. She has a hard cervical collar that works (not the multipost she’s always tucking her chin into) but it hurts to wear it so she chooses this one that forces her head down instead.
For two months there’s nothing, then she’s back to crow about how she went from not walking at all to “running” marathons in just a few weeks. She never had mobility problems so when she wanted to start exercise purging, she just did it but came up with a funny fake contracture so people would pat her ass.
This got crossposted to Tiktok where she deflects from the fact that her running mommies abandoned her for faking cancer by saying “one moved and the other is just so much older than me we have nothing else in common”. I believe the two she’s talking about here are Lisa Martinez and Kristi with the Chin as those are the only two I can still find in contact with her at this point and we know Lisa moved right before the running group collapsed. The video itself is about Stefanie, the one who was the catalyst for the running mommy saga, who saw Andie’s posts about being told she could no longer race and stepped up to push her. She tells the story about the hardware being removed from her back and how she had “paralyzing pain” and spasms that left her unable to move. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital and ended up with a cath. They tried to discharge her, possibly because she was malingering for pain meds. Andie appealed and was denied. One of the PAs tried to get her into a nursing rehab but none of them would take her and that’s GOOD because Princess Andie only wanted to be in the hospital on her PCA. They weaned her off the dillydilly anyway and dropped her in rehab, where she managed to convince the well-intentioned staff that her stupid foot thing was real and required AFOs. She was only allowed her precious IV pain meds when they were cleaning her wounds out. This is when the sponge was left in her back accidentally.
In May 2022 they opened her wounds up hoping to clean them out and have them heal from the inside and that’s how the sponge was found. The surgeries left her with the hardware exposed, in excruciating pain, and this isn’t going to fix the problem anyway. She’s resistant to most antibiotics and the only thing that is going to help her now is getting the hardware out. She can’t do that because she’s starving herself and there’s like liddurally no help for adults with EDs. There’s only some outpatient programs that won’t work and no one will put her in residential because she can’t care for herself. Of course she wants to go to Denver ACUTE.*

Andie goes to the beach with her sister and new nephew. Before going she finds out they have Davidschair trackchairs available and despite just doing a friendship walk on her working legs, Andie wants one. She reserves one but when she gets there they tell her there’s not going to be anyone to lease the chair to her. She sees someone using one and talks him up, so he gives her the number to the place he rented it from so she can see if it’s okay to use his when his rental period is up. The answer is still no and that doesn’t work for Andie who can’t tolerate not getting her way all the time. This man, probably having been told Andie is dying of MD, her back infection, and 9 different flavors of cancer, agrees to sit on a bench for a while so Andie can play with the mobility device he rented while her family films it, even though he is on a time crunch and was going to the beach to spend time with his family.
By the way it wasn’t her sister who filmed this. She did this stunt at the beach before she met up with her sister, meaning this was most likely her horrible abusive controlling mom being her camerawoman.

Being out in nature is so healing but all I get is this adaptive bike, a high-end standing powerchair, a slightly less high-end powerchair, multiple high-end gait trainers, accessible public transportation, a family that takes me where ever I want to go in their car, and legs that mysteriously work when I want to go for a walk!
What a shock. This fitness program she’s doing is another thing that pairs college girls with disabled people for activities. Like Best Buddies and her care home, this is explicitly geared towards people with intellectual disabilities. It is not adaptive fitness for wheelchair users. There are a few legitimate wheelchair users for whom adaptations are made.
I gotta say after so many years of hearing these girls say “my doctors all swore I wouldn’t make it to [age/year marker]” I just hear “I am in much more control of this situation than I would like you to know.”
She wants to go to San Francisco for her birthday vacation this year and answers another of my questions. The reason she can afford trips to New York with a half dozen Broadway shows and $700 skincare routines is because after she screeched and called them abusive and controlling her parents apparently started just disbursing the “medical trust fund” to her on demand, letting her spend it on whatever retarded shit she wants so she’ll shut the hell up. She says they assessed her and determined she’s now having swallowing difficulties she already told us she was having. Her infection has spread to an unspecified organ and she doesn’t know how long she can hold on. I don't believe anything this girl says and until proven otherwise this appointment, like everything else, never happened.

She’s appealed but is still being discharged. The wound clinic won’t see her more frequently, she’s been denied in-home palliative care, and she can’t afford to pay a private nursing service.

I know what year her mom was born (1955) and I don’t even know the woman. The receptionist doesn’t buy the “I’m retarded!” line and tells her to call Mom on her cell phone. Also chimping because she was made aware that she would be discharged from home health months ago and made no attempts to get a new plan in place and is now trying to say that they didn’t give her adequate time because they never gave her papers to sign. They’ve told her mom or someone from the care home will have to deal with her. She seems to think it’s their job to find their replacement. In the comments someone explains that the doctor’s office shouldn’t be giving out information about patients in their care regardless the circumstances.
So it appears she did try to make a tiktok comeback but deleted it since this is a new TT video that is no longer on her account there. Andie responds to the situation she’s in by leaving the back dressings on until she reeks and complaining about her mom.

I don’t know much about them other than that Tricia was told no by every other hospital she tried and Barnes agreed to give her a fair shot (but ultimately decided not to do it either.) It turns out Andie’s parents have never believed her shit and refused to let one of Andie’s enablers install a ramp into their house, presumably because when she was at home they watched her go up the spiral stairs without issue. I have always felt like her parents saw her acting a lot more normal when no one was looking. I can easily imagine her doing her compulsive exercise shit at home, doing jumping jacks or some shit.

So Andie has been complaining for years that she’s being abused by everyone, her home isn’t safe, her family is abusive, she’s being forced to have her clothings changed and her needs cared for by male carers after begging for a female staff, and god know what else she’s deleted in the year since this post was made. Someone calls the state to report this is happening, either a troll or, what it sounds like, someone acting in good faith. Remember that Andie very recently said she’s unable to do things like manage her own care with phone calls and needs assistance, and she’s also just told us her parents treat this task like a burden, so it’s entirely possible some well-meaning individual who found her through one of the programs she’s involved with like Best Buddies or Every Body Athletics thinks this is a disabled person being abused in a care situation – I would also report under these circumstances if I didn’t think Andie was full of shit. Andie is not being abused so when the investigator comes to question her she refuses to “tell him her trauma” then screams that they’re making it worse by bringing in the social workers and making her self-harm which means she’s under more scrutiny. Andie is not being abused so when the investigator comes to question her she refuses to “tell him her trauma” then screams that they’re making it worse by bringing in the social workers and making her self-harm which means she’s under more scrutiny. We learn her carers at the house also don’t believe all this abuse is happening. She’s told to stop running her mouth online all the time but that’s also abuse. This is a form of doxing!!! Why is everyone siding with her mom?! Oh IDK maybe because I don’t have her side of things and your side is ridiculous. People tell her the person might have been a mandatory reporter and Andie spirals about how this person is just a doxing bully. (I promise it wasn’t me, lol)

If you read her timeline then you know that part of the judge's initial denial for her claim was based on how she went on vacations, concerts, and date nights without issue while claiming there wasn't a single work from home job she could perform. Can't wait for the next part... I'm still dying to hear what intellectual disability/problems Andie claimed as an actual youth.
Out of all the munchies she really makes me a bit mad because of just how many pieces of expensive, unneeded equipment she seems to successfully beg charities for and how many people she seems to try to get deeply, deeply involved in her cons. Her poor mother.
It also makes me angry how they seem to have enough willpower to self-induce anorexia (the state of low weight, if not the mental/nervosa side of it), presumably by refusing/claiming to be unable to eat during normal mealtimes. But clearly when there's enough attention and sugar/alcohol involved, they eat whatever they want- to the point of bragging about it on social media. They drop the act when it doesn't serve them.
I find this really telling. It does not demonstrate to me that they are sickly little women. It demonstrates that they have an immense, psychopathic type of control that allows them to inflict pain on themselves in exchange for attention. The physical harm of being anorexic is worth it for the mental anguish it induces in others, for the attention and validation it'll bring them. ........Fucked up mang.
It really shows a lack of empathy for other people/lack of shame. People don't skinwalk anorexia because they think it sounds horrible. They do it because they think it sounds more good for them than bad- and this crazy bitch definitely didn't have a second thought about "How will it impact others?", or if she did, she was basically jerking off to the idea of getting more attention, just like the anorexic girlies.

How does she propose the VAC foam got crammed in, the very last time? Through a hole in the skin the size of a dime, and then when it was time to change it, the skin had sealed so they just shrugged and left the foam in? VACs do not work like that at all. The foam has to connect to the vacuum pump at the surface.
My only explanation is that she is not a smart person and when she heard "sponge," she thought of VAC foam and conflated the two. These are surgical sponges:

That foam gets changed every couple of days, and the negative pressure dressing holds it in place until then. If a surgeon left some VAC foam in her, it would have been on purpose: it stays and does its job until the next dressing change.
Springfield is admittedly next to Eugene, but still, this is a small neurology clinic that's accredited but not a cutting edge research center. People in Springfield with super special conditions go to Portland to find specialty care. Wonder why she couldn't be seen at OHSU's specialty clinic across town.

This is so confusing to me. Wound VACs do not work like that! You don't put the foam in place and then suture tissue over it to close. Wound VAC dressings have to be changed multiple times a week, so someone has eyes on it every time. The treated wound beds are intended to fill in with granulation tissue, so you can gradually use less foam to fill it.

And you can see in the photo Aunt Carol posted that there is a blue strip of fabric, this is radiopaque (shows up on x-rays) so that if you are suspicious you've accidentally left a sponge in someone you can do an x-ray and look for it. However I guess maybe if she has hardware it could be possibly difficult to see if it was overlying it?
The only other thing I thought of with it being a VAC is that it was a small piece of the sponge that broke off? Like when you have to cut the black foam to get the right shape, maybe a snipped off bit got lost in the wound?

@Aunt Carol My best guess is she probably has a home health nurse throw a couple trimmings in the trash, and eventually worked them in a slit carefully out of the eye of an overburdened home care nurse. I respect how long she was willing to wait for the payoff. I guess I just don't have that level of drive and commitment inside of me.

She's latched onto the "surgeon left a sponge in me" phrase from medical dramas or other munchies, but she's using it to describe a surgeon being unable to remove a lost piece of VAC foam that was placed earlier.
That's ultimately the fault of the HH wound nurse... and possibly her insurance company. VAC foam comes in two main colors, white and black. The white foam is hydrophilic, the kind you'd want to use next to hardware or to protect an exposed tendon/other named structure. It also has smaller cells and isn't prone to breakage.
The black foam is what insurance will reliably pay for, and it is comparatively fragile. Black VAC foam doesn't fray and leave little pieces, but if you pull too hard on a strip of it and the end is packed into a tight wound, it can break. Some wound nurses make it safer to pack a wound tunnel by wrapping the black foam in a single layer of gauze first. The gauze doesn't impede the NPWT and it means you can pull the gauze and be sure to remove all the "filling." This is one of those tips 'n' tricks, though; it's unlikely she'd have this step in her dressing orders.
Someone didn't notice they took out a much smaller piece of foam than went in. (Or that there was another piece behind it, in a dark and narrow flesh tunnel.) Through complacency or poor practice, the HH staff may not have been documenting how many pieces/how much packing was used in this chronic wound, so a change in staff could have triggered this systems failure.

I may have missed this in all the Andie info, but she's complaining about not having a van and fundraising for one... is there a reason why she can't just... take the bus? A city bus has wheelchair tie downs, lifts, and the driver has to get up operate the lift. Seems like the kind of special attention she would love.

Because there are stops that aren't hers. Literally that's her complaint. It doesn't go directly from her group home to her destination with no other stops.
The few times she takes transit it's the LIFT Paratransit bus that only takes a few customers with accessibility needs but even that is too much inconvenience for her and she bitches that other people also use it so it doesn't cater to her exclusively. In the entire time I wrote about her I saw her post about the regular Portland area bus system twice and both times it was to whine that it was too inconvenient for her.
The issue is it's not as convenient as the Mommy Bus that takes her to starbies and everywhere else she wants to go with no other stops.
She took a lot of work to dig into, to be fair. I had a lot of help. I went into it thinking she was really sick with a mitochondrial disease but suffering from dramatic teen girl on the Internet syndrome on top of it. It took a lot of back-and-forth and reading between the lines to realize it was all bullshit.

I noticed in one of her “all about me” rewrites she mentioned the paraprofessionals at her school were mean bullies who made her carry her own backpack and told her to walk faster. This suggests they could tell she was faking, back then, and I can only imagine how frustrating it was to have to deal with her, especially since it sounds like she was in a program for kids with pretty high levels of need. I bet she also threw fits to keep all the attention on her.
I’m wondering how much time she spent learning to skinwalk her peers with actual disabilities. She does not write at all like someone with an intellectual disability (I know it’s obvious she does not have one). I am so curious about the SpEd program time of her life, especially if she managed to quality for the alternate assessment (which is the only way she would have gotten transition services until she was 21).
Students on IEPs are re-evaluated every 3 years and you get extra scrutiny when you recommend an alternate assessment. It’s really supposed to be a last resort option— students with moderate intellectual disabilities who are working on modified standards many grade levels below (i.e. an 8th grader learning 3rd grade math) are still expected to take the standard assessment. You don’t even get human readaloud on the standard assessment unless you are functionally a non-reader.
ETA: IDEA was reauthorized in 2004, to bring it into alignment with No Child Left Behind. This was also when schools were pushed to figure out how to include the vast majority of students with disabilities in testing. My best guess is things were more lax initially and she was grandfathered in to the program she was in but who knows.
